baby and the pacifiers well here is another thread in the great tradition of threads that sink so fast off the board before you can blink an eye.....
i read dez dickerson's book, "my time with prince" and in it he mentions in the early 80's going to a club in atlanta to see a band called baby and the pacifiers because he knew the horn player. it brought back such memories. the club in question was called the bistro on west peachtree st in midtown atlanta. baby and the pacifiers were sort of the house band there, and used to play there at least one weekend a month. they were one the great un-signed bands. when i read that passage, i had to go rummage through some old boxes to find an old tape. at their height (which wasn't all that high) maurice (baby) let me tape them. i pulled it out and gave it a listen, what a fun band. now i doubt anyone has ever heard of them, but if so, post away. .....the sound of crickets..... ------------------------------------------------
