Miss Kittin

Has anyone on here discovered Miss Kittin?

Seems like she came out of nowhere and slammed out FOUR albums (either on her own or as collaborations) - all of which are excellent dance records. All I know about her is that she's from France, she's based in Germany and she makes really fun music.

Her sound is somewhere between '80s retro and the current lo-fi style of dance music (Chicks on Speed, Peaches, etc.), with just a tiny bit of Deee-Lite thrown in.

Check these out:

* Miss Kittin: On the Road With...(DJ mix)
* Miss Kittin and the Hacker: First Album (sounds very Kraftwerk/Devo/Giorigo Moroder)
* Felix da Housecat: Kittinz and Thee Glitz (I'm sure most of you know Felix - this album reminds me of old New Order, Depeche Mode and Yaz, only funked up)
* Golden Boy and Miss Kitten: Or (a bit mellower, but really fun; one song reminds me of "Use Me" by Grace Jones)

Any other fans of the Kittin?
