who's missin Anita Baker.......?

Rumor is that she is workin' on her new album, as her battle w/ elektra recently ended.

Most recently PRINCE spoke of her on TAVIS SMILEY, mentioning that she finally understood prince's struggle w/ warner bros.

I hope that this new found freedom, will bring out the best in mrs baker....as she is a true legend.

Maybe will see an Emancipation type LP, much like our purple friend. "Giving us the best that she's got".....

Anxiety	i keep hearin she's got something ready to come out any day now...i work with several anita fans, and they keep me up on the gossip whether i wanna hear it or not, ha...but she seems like a class act, it would be cool to see her out there again.

I start a thread about her atleast once every 8 months or so...

I miss her terribly....

along side Angela Winbush and Teena Marie, she's one of my favorite female singers...

She (well, Rhino, actually) just released a live album. Apparently it is from a 1986 concert in London, so all the stuff that came after that is missing. Anway, I'm really assuming that this Blue Note album will come out soon. Can't wait!

kisscamille	yep, I'm missin her, that's for sure. That lady can sing. I have all her cd's but I would love a new one to listen to.

ThreadBare	I was ticked when the sound system in Detroit ruined the end of her rendition of the national anthem. It wasn't a particularly amazing rendition, but it was just so good to hear her singing again... She could sing the phone book to me, and I'd be happy. Ain't there something I can give you In exchange for everything you give to me?
