A question regarding Ray Charles

I was truly saddened by the news of Mr charles passing. I never cried over the loss of somebody i never knew before. He will be sadly missed but u will live on forever in your music. I remember him playing at the world music awards on the same bill that prince performed the most beautiful girl in the world. it was my 1st exposure to ray and i was digging what he played it so much. Prince was loving it too, the camera kept cutting to him as he was nodding his head and tapping his foot to rays joyous sounds.

I only ever sae this performance once, and as a nice way to remeber him by i would like to hear the song he played the 1st time i saw him. However, i have no idea what the song was called. I remember that he broke the music down and said something along the lines of "all the suffering, the raping of women, roaches climb my walls" then Gave a tremendous scream and continued to playwith all is heart.

Does anybody know what Song ray was playing?

Thank u.

I think that was during his rendition of Stevie's " Living For The City"....I know he performed that song and"Til' there Was You" at the awards in Monaco in '94...

I could be confusing this with another performance, but I thought he played Eleanor Rigby.

I remember they couldn't stop showing Prince in the audience.
