They were awful. Yeah, its funny, we've grown up listening to that Jay Graydon solo all these years, and it's sounds weird when you hear other guitarist's attempts - they just sound wrong...I would love to hear all of them, like you said, with the names of each guitarist!

I always thought it had a Steely slant to it!  I thought "Do U Lie" had a nice SD feel to it. I love "Chain Lightning", "Dr. Wu" and the live version of "Sign In Stranger" Gaslighting Abbey is cool, too. Ah, The 'Dan now you're talkin'
My favorite track is 'My Old School' mainly because of Jeff Skunk Baxters guitar breaks!

I love Steely Dan. Talk about real music by real musicians.
