Do you think Bouncey's..errr.I mean Beyoncé's follow up solo project, or even Destiny's Child, will be as successful as Dangerously In Love or Survivor? Looking back at some big Grammy winners over the years; you may be asking "Where Are They Now?" Or the expectations (public), weren't met to some degree. A couple names that spring to mind are Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keyes. Is the media becoming too saturated with Beyoncé? Or do you think she will be one of the few icons from recent years? Some have gone as far to say that she will replace Janet Jackson. Not sure from what though. And what about her musical directions?

i didnt like her solo work

her solo work is much better than the destiny's child stuff, by and large.

i think way down the track them big thighs are gonna get bigger and she'll be like another aretha.

as for the near future, i predict her next solo CD and the next destiny's child album will be just as successful as her last efforts. we're talking about probably the biggest pop singer around right now.

i dont like her solo work coz all her singles have the taste of eastern songs if u know what i mean. and im sick of it...I dont think she did anything out of the box and she didnt deserve 6 grammies(or was it 5?)

Agreed. Her album sounds just like everything else that's out now. Nothing really noteworthy about it. The only reason I bought it was for the duet she did with Luther Vandross and I bought it at Wal-mart, where it's cheaper and doesn't count as a unit sold by Soundscan or whatever (so I've been told). The only other song on that album that is worth mentioning besides the Luther duet is "Speechless"....everything else is soo typical and unimpressive for a singer with such a good voice.

Destiny's Child stuff is much better than Beyonce's album. First of all, the singles all pretty much suck. "Crazy in Love" is only decent because it cops from an old song. "Baby Boy" is forgettable drivel. Me, Myself, and I is good enough for maybe three listens. "Naughty Girl" has that tired r&b/eastern vibe that somebody else mentioned and gets old quickly. Then, the song that wowed everyone at the grammies "Dangerously in Love" is simply a remake of an old Destiny's Child song. The rest of that album is filled out with garbage.

I'm not gonna get into the Destiny's Child albums here, but I'll just say that I find them much, much better on the whole. The remake of "Emotions" alone makes Survivor a better album than Dangerously in Love.

Her videos need to get a little bit more imaginative as well. The 'bootylicious' thing is going to tire quickly.

I'm not sure but I've heard she writes a lot of her & Destiny's Child's stuff, right? I'm just glad she'll have some $ in the bank no matter what happens.

Great voice, shitty songs for the most part. But she'll work it out, they ain't gonna let her go away.

Ride on the coat tails of good artists by doing duets
And have her daddy threaten people to get her name out there

Her voice is strong, but it seems like she doesn't have control over her voice. Especially when she sings "dangerously in love". Her voice is everywhere. And "opera of the bells" on the Destinty's child Christmas album she sooo overdid that one.

she should be aight as long as she doesn't grow a "diva ego". U know how the media loves to overdue the term "diva" anyway. I think she has a lot more work to do before taking on that title. As long as she continues to be driven and keep her audience interested, she should be alright. OH and yeah and stay away from the favorite diva drug: crack. We don't need another whitney in the future (although ashanti maybe take that title).
