Re-INVENTION kicks Drowned World's ASS

WOW. Having read a few things about this show, and talking to an Orger who went to the show, I went with shaky expectations. I was mesmerized from the start of Beast Within. Loved the trippy video clip. Vogue was so much fun. With each and every song, I was waiting to be disappointed, and it never happened. We had a great crowd that was into the show. Madonna commented that we were much better than the first night's crowd.

Anyway... long story short, I LOVED IT!!! Her best tour, for sure!!!!
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

I LOVE Girlie Show, and easily liked this better -- granted, there's the difference of seeing one in my living room, and the other on the floor of the auditorium!!! There is a V-shaped extension of the stage that drops down at a couple of points. When she was on that, she was probably 10 feet away. She sounded GREAT, looked BEAUTIFUL.

I'm not very good at explaining songs, so I'll just say that with the exception of Deeper and Deeper being preformed as a ballad, the "reinvention" was not musically dramatic -- noticeable, but not distracting. She really preserved the integrity of the songs, and made them fresh. A lot of reinvention was in the visual presentation and video displays. It really was an "assault on the senses" -- there was ALWAYS a million things going on.

My complaint about Drowned World and to an extent, The Girlie Show, was that the compartmentalized segments of the shows kept them from getting "Into the Groove" (pun intended.) For me, they didn't flow (especially DW) -- Re-Invention does. And unlike DW, it seemed to have a genuine "concert vibe", rather than a complete performance.

yeah, I was at the Sunday show.

Die Another Day was musically just like the single, and done in military outfits.
Very good!

My favorites were American Life, Like a Prayer & Holiday.

I'm seeing Madonna in FOUR DAYS and I'm just about to go crazy lol

The fan reviews have been overwhelmingly positive,it seems that Madonna is giving the fans the type of show they really want.Drowned World was roundly criticized for being self-indulgent and lacking the classic hits. But this time around, nobody is really complaining.

I am curious as to how old songs have been arranged or remixed.

From the reports that I've been reading,it seems that some songs have been altered, while some songs are very similiar to the original versions."Deeper And Deeper" is now performed as a slower, jazzy number..."American Life" and "Burning Up" are now more rock-sounding.I'm sure Mardartista could give us more details lol

OMG I just got back from the Show in Anahiem and I can't believe what I saw!!!! This is the best show she has ever done!!!!! From begining to end i was on my feet dancing away. 20 rows back and when the catwalk came down Madonna was standing right over my head!!!!! Like a Prayer was hands down my favorite of the night, followed by Vogue and Nobody Knows Me. Just be ready to be amazed when you go
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Man,I'm going out of my mind reading all these reviews!!! lol

Please,tell us more...

***How was the performance of "American Life"? Many fans say that this was the highlight of the show.

***Was "Deeper And Deeper" really perfomed as a slow, jazzy number?

***How was her interaction with the audience? Was she in a fun, joyful mood like 'The Girlie Show'?

***I'm in the 16th row on the floor for the June 6 performance. Will the catwalk be right over me??

***Would you say this is her best tour?

lol and any other details/highlights,please
