DAMN!!!
what more can you say after this past weekend??? DAMN 2---Electric Boogaloo!!! here are a few of my hi-lites...the weekend is a blur of beauty, but here is try at some specifics: ---Amp Fiddler. they moved the guy to where he rightfully belonged, the Main Stage. where he proceeded to make it his own. he certainly brought Color. in sound and in dress --did you catch that outfit? if you were anywhere within a 10 mile radius of Dtown, you had to see it ---how many times did you hear 'Erotic City' during the fest? atleast 5 times for me. song has got legs like no other. but the coolest time was the 1st time: Derek Plaslaiko dropped the original mix (heard bootleg mixes most of the other times,) then went into LCD Soundsystem's recent jam, 'Yeah' and into Pixies 'Chained' how can you not drop the "triple threat" cliche'??? ---J-Rocc of the world famous Beat Junkies went crazy on the tables. cut up the funk like he was at the original mixing board. it was simply insane, and a must see it to believe it moment (and the cliche's just keep rollin) ---Peanut Butter Wolf started his set off with 'Controversy' then continued in a very non-hip-hop set with many a rare disco/house/funk groove. just try and pigeonhole this cat. so step up folks. what were some of yer high times this weekend? did you make it to all 3 days? hit any of the crazy amount of afterparties that went down? i am now hitting the sheets. think i slept all but 14 minutes over the past 4 days. -peaceternal to you and you and...

Well, I was too busy this weekend to read the .org--I wish I had caught this thread!!
Anyway, I'm the violinist/flutist that played with Painted Pictures on Monday at 5 p.m. and then again at 6 p.m. with DJ Genesis. Hope some of you caught our set. We (Painted Pictures) also had a CD release party ("Tuxedo Sessions") at Club Centre Street on Sunday night and an appearance early Sunday morning on WDIV. I also played at the Town Pump on Tuesday night with Alton Miller.
