Name any.....ones u remember the whole world/ur mates talking about, the ones that shocked u 'cause they were crap/weird/naff?Dissapointed/massivly hyped vids.....

Mine include

1)"Baby got back"-Sir mix-a-lot- very young then, thought he was the beesknees.....

2)"tonight"-New kids on the block- Donnoe walberg wearing a majurana logo'd shirt or something like that- how dumb/odd/brave was that!

3)"Justify my love"-Madonna- I was 5 or 6 at time, saw it 7 or 8 years old, what was all the fuss, nothing dirsty happens and song is shit to boot!

4)"Black or white- Michale jackson, sorry, but that vid got tons of news coverage/playground talk at the time 'cause of end panther sequence- by far the coolest bit MJ has ever done (ironic maybe that the La riots started just weeks or maybe days after premiere of this vid of Mj smashing KKK signs etc.....I know really y they started but it is still interesting to point out)


5)" You rock my world" MJ- what a waste, OK song (not good 4 first single though), MJ rides way too much on hype and this vid was not terrible, just a waste really and a recycled idea etc... though Marlon Brando is unintentionally funny as is MJ talking to the girl at end of vid)

6)" My name is prince" - yep, playground discussion as he looked so weird/strinking with chains over face! Of course i had seen this previously on the "Violet the organ grinder" vid, so not quite so bizarre 4 me!

7)"2 legit 2 quit" Mc hammer, cool ass dance moves to learn, video pretty hyped at time, very expensive was the part we thought of mainly! Still looks expensive today really

8)"Pumps and a bump" Mc hammer, few will remember the original vid 4 this, with Hammer looking "happy" alot of the time, pretty sick really.....

can u think of any, for personal reasons like because u were dissapointed/bemused/happy or just the fact that everyone talked about it.....

Tupac's "I Ain't Mad At Cha"

The first time I saw Marilyn Manson's "the beautiful people", I was freaked out. I can't stand him, his band or his music, but his videos always seem to capture my attention. I couldn't wait to see this video again and again for the first couple of months after it came out.

MTV2 reruns a special every few months called "Most Controversial Videos". It's over two hours long and a lot of videos are shown uncut. Madonna's "Justify My Love" & "What It Feels Like For A Girl," Eminem's "Stan," Neil Young's "This Note's For You," and Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up" are ones I remember. Because the videos are unedited, the show only comes on after 1am.

just about any madonna music video is controversial. even the ones mtv actually plays.
