Q regarding Ryan Adams' Love Is Hell

Hopefully somebody can help me out. Like a lot of people I bought the two EP's when they were first released. Then I noticed that the single cd containing both EP's (released months after the EP's) had an exrta track. Of course I flipped out. Then when I calmed down I noticed that the extra track was on the Rock N Roll cd. So I calmed down. But then I noticed that the Love Is Hell version is listed as being about 1 minute longer. Naturally I flipped out again. Now my question is as follows: what is the difference between the two versions?

I may be mistaken but I believe the song in question is "Anybody Wanna Take Me Home".

Incidentally, I HATE record companies. First they said they weren't gonna release it, then we get one album split into two EP's. Then we get the friggin' album on one cd, with an extra track. Aaaarrrggghhh!

The songs were recorded at different times, the LIH version was recorded in early 2003 i believe and the one on rock and roll was recorded in september/october 2003. They are quite different sounding, but not that much really, the LIH one is better though, it's on the net around you should just download it. The difference in the versions isn't worth buying the LIH 1 cd if you have both EP's.

Thanks a lot for the info. I know it's foolish but I think I'll buy the full album. Again I have to say that I hate record companies. But it's good to know that the Rock N Roll version is not just an edit.
