Bookies Offer 3-1 Odds on Quick End to J-Lo Marriage

LONDON (Reuters) - British bookmakers offered odds of 3-1 Monday that singer/actress Jennifer Lopez and her new husband Marc Anthony would divorce by the end of the year.

Lopez, 33, has already been through two marriages that lasted little more than a year. She broke off an A-list celebrity engagement to actor Ben Affleck in January after the couple called off their wedding last September.

Anthony was granted a quickie divorce in the Dominican Republic a week ago from his wife of four years, a former Miss Universe Ladbrokes is also offering 10 to one odds that "J-Lo marries more than eight times in her life, beating Elizabeth Taylor," a spokesman said.

Those who never quite accepted that Lopez and Affleck had split for good after one of Hollywood's most tumultuous romances also have a chance to bet.

The bookmakers are offering 14-1 odds that Affleck and Lopez are married by the end of 2004. (this last bet won't come true if Matt Damon has anything to say about it.)

'P. Diddy' Exclusive: Jennifer's 'Doin' It Her Way'

Jennifer's ex, P. Diddy, exclusively talked to Access Hollywood about the nuptials at the Tony Awards over the weekend.

P. Diddy On Jennifer's Marriage

"I love it. I'm very happy for them. The one thing I love about Jennifer is she's doing it her way -- the Frank Sinatra way," P. Diddy told Access. "She's not playing by anybody else's rules so she's doing what makes her happy and that's the beauty of it. People take us as celebrities and don't understand that we're real people, you know. And as a person if she's in love with somebody and that makes her happy, I'm happy for her. That's my girl for life."

Jen was P. Diddy's girl for two years and when the relationship ended in 2001 he took it hard.

"Is your heart broken?" asked Access Hollywood's Pat O'Brien shortly after the split.

"My heart is broken. My heart's kinda twisted out," replied P. Diddy. "She's just someone that I'll always love. Sometimes you get people that cross your path that you will always love."

Jennifer's first marriage was to restauranteur Ojani Noa in 1997. The union lasted just one year. Then four years later she walked down the aisle with her backup dancer Cris Judd.

During a lavish ceremony at a hillside estate outside Malibu is where she became Mrs. Judd. Jennifer wore an off-white lace and silk Valentino gown, draped in a half million dollars worth of Fred Leighton jewels. A month later, she told Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson about the intense media scrutiny during her special day.

"We tried to get a lot of security. It cost a lot of money. It's the worst," said Jennifer. "You know helicopters flying over or people with the long lens across the thing. It's like, 'C'mon, why are you trying to steal our moment.'"

But the moment didn't last, just nine months later, Lopez left another broken heart.

"It's always difficult, you know. It is rough," Judd told Access in 2003. "I wouldn't want to wish divorce on anybody you know it's a terrible thing to just to have your heart broken."

But Judd handled the news of her new marriage very well when Access broke it to him at the Virgin Cola MTV Movie Awards after-party.

"You know what? Hey, I wish her the best. I wish her and Marc the best and if it's true to her heart then by all means," said Judd.

After her marriages to Noa and Judd, who could forget the impending nuptials of Bennifer. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be happily ever after for the couple. The extravagant Bennifer wedding was suppose to take place last September in Santa Barbara.

Chris Judd seemed like a great guy. But I can see her celebrity and ambition over powering their relationship. I think P Diddy (whatever his name is this minute) and her were great together. They should give it another go!

jennifer must dont know what real love is i mean she is so easy to move on to the next one standing in line .i mean she don't even seem to need time to heal from one broken heart to another i just feel she just needs to be married she is missing something in her life that money can't buy seems like ..shes constanly about a man ..i bet she can't be a single woman for 2 hours... she must be afraid of herself afraid to be alone with jennifer.

I don't know what Marc was thinking though...he has had a thing for her since her first album. I saw them on the "Cristina" show way back then, she was being interviewed and he came up on stage to hand her flowers. Even though they said they were just "friends" - his body language said otherwise.

But what-?! He wasn't good enough for her then? NOW...after Puffie and Chris and Ben...he is good enough to marry? I wouldn't have done it. He's just ASKING for it!

She started screwing family friend Eddie Fisher only a few weeks after her "beloved" husband Mike Todd died, then she marries him (he already had a few children with Debbie Reynolds) and starts screwing Richard Burton on the set of Cleopatra.

Eventually, she marries her handyman. Enough said.

If you notice in the pictures that Jennifer's image and attitude comes off different with every person she was involved with. It's as if she reflect's that person's persona in a way. Sometimes when you are involved with someone their personality rubs on you a little bit. Sometimes it's kind of nice.

Marc Anthony Silent About Lopez Wedding

Marc Anthony apparently prefers singing to talking.

Call him evasive or stubborn -- but before performing for the crowds on Tuesday morning's "Today" show, Anthony stood his ground and staunchly refused to confirm whether he's married to Jennifer Lopez.

The showdown, in the plaza of New York's Rockefeller Center, began with "Today" anchor Matt Lauer asking the 35-year-old Latin crooner how he'd spent his weekend.

"I see where you're going with this, and I'm going to preface it with just saying -- y'all know I don't talk about my personal life," Anthony said.

Lauer replied: "So, I -- do I need to congratulate you?"

"Yeah, I have two albums coming out, man. Absolutely. And I would appreciate it," the singer said.

Sharp-eyed TV watchers, however, could detect what appeared to be a silver wedding band on Anthony's left hand.

As Lauer pressed the matter, such as asking if a wedding had taken place Saturday at Lopez's home in Beverly Hills, Anthony responded, "That would fall into the category of personal. And that's where I'm going to leave it."

Later on "Today," weatherman Al Roker chided Lauer over the lack of news he had gleaned. "Yeah," said Lauer, "this used to be an information show."

An hour later, on ABC, Anthony continued to duck the big question to the five women -- including super-sleuth Barbara Walters -- on "The View."

"I've always been just so private, and I've kept what's mine, mine," Anthony said.

"It's still hard for me to understand, what is to me, the morbid fascination with celebrity," he added. "I just want to sing, I want to work on my music, I want to make my movies, that's all I want to do. I understand, you know, the interest but I really don't understand the fascination with it."

Anthony -- who only last week finalized his divorce from his wife of four years, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres -- said no matter what is said of him and Lopez, he plans to "let it go. I have nothing to say about anything. My life is my life, that's the only thing I have."

'escapemonos' but when I heard her voice I skipped over it. I THOUGHT this one would be the salsa album, but I didn't read about it and its instead a bunch of ballads... eh.. whatever.

And not that I think he's a saint or anything, but this I think will hurt him in the long run. The hispanic press gives you absolutely no privacy in the first place, but when you become the center of attention by doing something as ridiculous as marrying JLo you're might as well install camera's in your toilet seat and in your bedroom. He's no longer gonna be Marc Anthony the singer, but Marc Anthony the guy who's currently banging J-Lo.
