I saw Live LIVE!!! Good show. Ed kowalczyk is a great front man. They closed with Lightning Crashes of course... I really wanted to hear The Dolphins Cry and I Alone and they played them back to back! Plus, I got in for free so I really can't complain!!! It was my first time seeing them live. Ed really likes to shake his booty and shimmy his shoulders!
I have 3 of their cds, and now I want to get them all. Didn't they have a track with Tricky for some movie?

I saw Ed sing with The Heads (Talking Heads without David Byrne) in NYC a few years back - he was quite the hottie.

I wanted to see them sooooo bad too! One of my favourite groups. You're so lucky Vina! Did you take any pics? And you should get ALL their albums. Especially "The Distance From Here".

Live is a terrific band live.
I haven't purchased much of their stuff but have enjoyed them a lot the 2 times I've seen them. and, yes, Ed is a hottie. Is his head shaved right now? I like him best bald

That's the one I don't have!!! My boyfriend has it so I'll copy it... but I want the lyrics, so I will buy a copy someday. I didn't take pics... we were too far back. . The cool thing about this venue is they have screens on the side, to give you close ups. I love it when he really gets into his performance and his eyes roll back... such passion. He's got some moves too. And the fact that he writes such great lyrics just makes me

They are a great band indeed, I saw them last November, it was a great show, their opening act though, was even better. Train was their opening act and on this particular night they were better. It was one of those rare occasions where U go to a concert and walk out really happy with all performances. -"If U don't like,
what U see here -get the FUNK out."

I've been a hardcore Live fan since about 1996, and enjoy every song they've done (including the vast amounts of unreleased songs I have).
I've always enjoyed their changes and accepted the experimental stuff, but after all these years, and I still love them, one thing is clear; Ed's songwriting has lost it's edge and become a little shallow and white-washed, and their instrumental work on the studio albums no longer has any real force or technical know-how. Don't get me wrong, they're still great in concert, even though they use the same setlist for 3 years straight before making 3 or 4 song adjustments. But it's a shame they've lost their edge and depth. Who knows, maybe it was due to the fact that their fifth record consisted of computer loops and freestyle raps and took 2 weeks to make, and their most recent record was rushed out merely two years later, resulting in some very good, but only 3-minute long songs that either fade out or end abruptly. Don't get me wrong, I still love them. And that's why I'm waiting for another record with the depth, atmosphere, and know-how of "The Distance to Here" (their last solid effort, in my eyes). But I had to let that out after almost ten years of defending and praising them to others. : )
