Kool and the Gang from'69 to '76: Funky Stuff While I like some of the 80's/James JT Taylor stuff, my favorite Kool and the Gang is still the '69-76, raw funk era!

Sea of Tranquility Summer Madness Winter Sadness Dujji NT Hollywood Swinging Breeze and Soul I don't like any of James Taylor's Kool and the Gang music. It's so corny and dull. I loved the raw funk of Kool and Gang before "Celebrate", Joanna, etc. Light of the World was a funky album as well. Live version album of Hollywood Swinging in London slams. I read that James Brown really loved them and deemed Kool and the Gang one of the funkiest bands around. I have all their pre-JT albums and CD's. More of the funky Kool and Gang is being played on radio more than JT's version. Lennytunia | |
