went to see sting at the olimpiahall in paris tiny small venue seats 1,999 peeps he played 5 or 6 nights over the wk i was at the fri night show ,... awsome ! he played all the new album done a great duet of whenever i say your name with 1 o the backing singers, also did fields o gold, roxanne (very close to the police version), walking on the moon , englishman in new york (almost brought the house down), fragile,every breath u take, seven days, if ever i lose my faith in you, synchronicity II, his wife trudie and kids (teenagers) showed up at the row in front of me and my girlfriend about 40mins from the end of the show , then moved forward a few rows, we were row 10 centre great seats in a tiny wee hall !!! we also got to meet him in virgin on the champs elysees on the saturday afternoon , he signed our tickets, his book and my nothing like the sun cd !!! , he was very pleasent and was surprised to hear our broad scottish accents in paris ! he asked where we were from "glasgow" then apologised for cancelling his glasgow show earlier this month (since been rescheduled for nov i think) !, so i finally met 1 of my two heroes only to meet prince now !!! it was nice to see him point out his family a couple o times during every breath u take " i'll b watching u " .

I too have met and talked with Sting and Trudie. VERY nice people.
I have also me and talked with Prince several times.
Very interesting guy, but on a totaly differnt level than Sting.
Sometimes it can be damaging to meet your heros, so be careful what you wish for!

I love Sting. He's so intelligent, witty and funny.

Sting is awesome, glad you got to talk to him and see him live. His band is phenomenal, too. And I love the fact that as brilliant a songwriter as he is, he is so down to earth, and human.
