For starters, the music lacks structure and innovation and they all sound alike. Furthermore, we know you're gay George, so why are you insisting on shoving it down our throats in all of your songs? Okay, so its okay for straight artists to sing about having relationships with folks of the opposite sex, but gay people should keep it gender neutral so as to not offend you??? I'm straight, and I never once found George to be beating people over the head with his sexuality. He sings "he" instead of "she", so what? Its not different than if I were listening to a female artist. He's singing from his perspective. As an artist, he's being true to himself. Its not like he's singing odes to anal sex or anything. Now, as to the music, I can understand it not really floating your boat. It took me a few listens before I really dug it. It has a few misfires, but its worth it for the truly good songs, IMO.

I think this is a big reason why Prince's conversion to the JW faith bothers so many people. They can no longer identify with him the way they once did, so they get angry. Now, as to whether or not he "put one over on you", you have to understand that, according to interviews he's given, George was pretty confused about his sexuality in the early days of his career as well. He thought of himself as bisexual, and at the time of the "Faith" album, he was almost exclusively dating women. He said he realised he was truly gay when he fell in love with a man. Sexually, he finds both attractive, but he feels he can only fall in love with men. C'mon though, wasn't the "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" video a pretty big hint???? 4 the record, the sheer volume of songs out there that are about boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back and gets married and has 2.4 children is overwhelming, why the fuck can't we have a few songs about boy meets boy and lives happily ever-after once in awhile?
The whole point of being an artist is being true 2 yourself - and like Madartista said, he's supressed that part of himself 4 so long, why shouldn't he write songs about it? Personally, this album is his most honest and bare - u just gotta dig deeper than the surface. I'm done here. You've been done!
