awb - concert review

Average White Band launched there first studio album in six years "Living In Colour" yesterday in the uk, (was prolly out earlier in the usa?) and I went to the gig which happen to coinside with this even at the liquid rooms, edinburgh. It's a small venue but was PACKED to the door, I looked a tad out of place being a young one at 20 , the average age was about 40 but oh well! Infact they nearly always have wristbands that u need to wear to use the bar but seemed not to even bother with that!!
Anyway It started about 8pm and it was an hour and a half set with abou 10/15mins oncore. I have to say I'm not a fan of there slower stuff but seeing them live did help change that. Some nice solos from everyong - thought I was gonna wet myself from all the funk!
Played all the usual songs plus a couple of the new ones, was all pretty good. liquid rooms is £3 a drink though, me piss poor now sad
