S.A.W. S.A.W. was the 'Hit Factory' of that time; and gave many artists their start or career boost if you will. Who were some of your favourite artists or songs that emerged from that 'era'?

God, most of that stuff was fucking awful! "Never Gonna Give You Up" was ok, Mel & Kim and two DOA songs were ok, but the rest .... Barfarama. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

Stock etc.... sucked bigtime! Just copied American artists and made a crapy sounding version of them so even that is against them!
Glenn medeiros.....jason donovan Paula abdul....Kyle minogue sonia.....tiffany Surprised knowone noticed these as blatent rip offs of US acts! Paula was way better then Kylie though (She could also dance unlike shitty Kylie) and Glenn I guess at this stage was only a bit better then Jason (Glenn can sing better-check "Not me"- it's quite nice actually) and Tiffany vs Sonia! Well I really liked Tiffany's "New inside" album but that is different to this though as was Glenns attempt at a "tough" album! BUT I always liked "Respectable" by Mel and Kim though! The "tay,tay,tay,tay..." bit always cracks me up! They were no Jimmy jam or Terry lewis though were they! Pete seems quite arrogent though as well but he fooled the charts 4 a couple of years so.....(though the public had no choice)

Yeah, you're absolutely right, although it wasn't "really" by them but some anonymous session singers. Thanks to SAW,Donna Summer was able to make a late-80s comeback with the Top Ten single "This Time I Know It's For Real".The rest of her album 'Another Place And Time' was also produced by SAW,and it was her most consistent album in years.Songs like "If It Makes You Feel Good","The Only One" and the title track are solid gems.

I didn't know that was a S.A.W. production. Cool. I love that song as well. Been ages since I've heard it.

On the whole they were a really lame outfit. Kylie's SAW material is pretty horrid, Rick Astley had a few good tracks, Donna Summer had a few more, Samantha Fox was the 80's Britney but with a voice, and the rest just plain suck. Sinitta? Wonder whatever happened to her.
