KRSOne becomes a Born Again Christian?

Holy shit, not another one. Humanist rapper, activist KRSONE might actually be becoming a born again Christian.

I was reading this online interview with this Christian rapper named T-Bone. T-Bone was talking about how he is doing a track with KRS, and in the interview he mentions that he ministered to KRS and they read the Bible. KRS supposedly had tears in his eyes after.

I like KRS because he never took any shit; now what? One of our great radical rappers becoming a Jesus freak? Hoping that KRS is smarter than that.

pray
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

He often contradicts himself (most hip-hop artists do). He shifts his spiritual perspectives with each album. But that doesn't mean he's not one of the greatest MCs in the history of the game and that doesn't take away from the thought-provoking nature of his work.

Who cares? Is this effecting your life, by KRSOne or Alice Cooper, or whomever finding a relationship with God? These people are just people, first, and if they want to be "Jesus Freaks" (personally, that is offensive--we aren't freaks) then they can be--or any faith. In the long run, whose going to be with them when they are at the end of their lives? Any of us? No. Let 'em be.

You know what, if he is a born again Christian, then good for him. It's not a bad thing at all to want to get closer to God.

it's basically evidence that their own lives lack spiritual guidance, that's why they bash on people who dare to be spiritual. Because they can no longer live vicariously through them...that's why people went apeshit when Prince became a JW. a WHOLE LOTTA people lived vicariously through him....believe it.

Yes, right about now we got Afrika
from the Jungle Brothers on the wheels of steel
My sister Harmony right beside me
and I, KRS-One on the mic
Sidney Mills on the keyboards
and Dwayne on the engineering
And once again, this style is dedicated to the heavenly father
Because you know YA RULE!

[Harmony]
Where can they go, where can they turn?
When they hear your name, that fire BURNS.. their very soul! (FI-YAH!)
What can they do, what can they say?
They can't live without your love.. (ba-da-bi)
Another day.. (ba-ba-bad-bad-bad)

[KRS-One]
Bad man people and petty rob-ber
Straighten up your ways or you will suf-fer
What go around come around and this is the law
The manmade law KRS-One ig-nore
I walk the streets as a ruff yout BWOY
Very intelligent, and full of JOY
Go to a concert and mash up the jam (BO)
People in the world know just who I am
I am what I am cause I am not SOFT
When the blind lead the blind - that's when ya LOST
Me just a DJ dealin with negative
Nonsense messages, a what dem a give
BDP strong, cause JAH is the strength
BDP long, cause JAH is the length
BDP together, cause JAH is the link
We a just arise, while the negative sink! COME!

[Harmony]
Where can they go, where can they turn?
When they hear your name, that fire BURNS.. (BURNS!)
their very soul! (Lick dem down!)
And what can they do, what can they say?
They can't live without your love.. another day.. (COME!)
Where can they go..
What can they do? (BO)

[KRS-One]
We are not a front and, we are no fraud
Every hit record comes straight from the Lord
We live in jail cell and we live in shelter
If you help yourself, well JAH will help ya
Look to no man but love everyone
Stand on your own and work til you're done
Follow the commandments that Jah set forth
Cause manmade laws, made man lost (BO)

[Harmony]
Where can they go, where can they turn?
When they hear your name, that fire BURNS.. (ba-da-bi-bi-bi)
their very soul! (FI-YAH!)
What can they do, what can they say?
They can't live without your love.. another day..
They need you, in their lives
They know, your live is right (ALWAYS RIGHT)
You're the inspiration yes that sweet revelation
All their hope, and their salvation (SO RIGHT)
And where can they go, where can they turn (where ya hide?)
When they hear your name, that fire BURNS.. their very soul!
(wa-da-ba-da-bi-bi-bi-bi-bi)
What can they do, what can they say?
They can't live without your love.. another day..
(FI-YAH, FI-YAH, FI-YAH, FI-YAH)
They need you, in their lives
They know, your love is right
You're the inspiration, that sweet revelation
And all of their hopes (Jah Rulez) and their salvation
Where can they go, where can they turn (Jah rule every time)
When they hear your name, that fire BURNS.. (nowhere)
Their very soul (kyan't move without the movement of Jah, seen?)
And what can they do, what can they say
They can't live without your love.. another day..
Where do they go
What do they do?
Where do they turn
What can they say?
Where do they go, what can they do
Breathe without you?
Where do they go
Breathe without you?
What do they do.. *fades*

Jesus was a radical fo sho but the bible and the form of "christianity" taught today is anything but radical. Don't confuse the real Jesus of the Jesus of the bible. It's sad that so many do.

Sure, he can be religious, but can't we have just one fucking rapper or singer who doesn't whine about God?

Atheism is so taboo in America, it makes me sick. Hell, the best humanists are atheists. Religion just fucked everything up.

You never get tired of being offensive. If KRS wants to be a Christian that is his business. It has no bearing on your life. In addtion, KRS was never a gangster rapper so I doubt he was out raising hell. People get older and they reflect and want to get closer to GOD. Nothing freaky about it.

Dude if your going to add something to the thread try adding something that makes sense.

Christianity has not changed maybe some of the people teaching have but no one should be worshiping their minister.

wouldnt the jesus of the bible be the real jesus? your post makes no sense.

back to the topic, why do so many people on here care about peoples religions? its not anyones business. there are more important things to worry about than whether or not some rapper has found religion.
