"Honey Call" by Teena Marie---should it be her next single? Am I the only one who's digging this track from Teena's new CD? Who else thinks that it should be the next single? It sounds like an R&B summer smash,all it needs is a good,sexy video.

Hi David I agree that Honey Call should be her next single but it isnt. The next single is going to be A rose by any other name with Gerald Levert. The Video is in the works right now. I would love to see Off the Chain as a single as well as Honey Call. This cd is more than good. I have played the hell out of it. I love Lady Tee. I seen her in March with Rick James and she was phenomenal.I have seen her in concert 6 times and she never disappoints. | |

I was kinda hoping that "A Rose By Any Oher Name" would be the third single."Honey Call" has a "summer vibe" to it,so it's the perfect choice for a second single,imo.But it's nice to see that her CD is getting the promotion it deserves.Are there any plans for a video? | |

Nah, I'm thinking "My Body's Hungry" should be the next single! Definitely moreso than "A Rose By Any Other Name", only cuz it's too much in the same vein as "Fire & Desire". "Honey Call's" not too bad, but MBH's one of my favs on the new CD.
Just saw her and Rick (along with Morris & The Time) last night in DC!! Fabulous show, David, as I'm sure I don't even have to tell you!!! They closed out the night with "My Love", dedicated to Rick's mother!! Wow, man!! I hadn't heard that one in ages! And what can you say about Lady Tee's voice?!? It has not changed in over 20 years!! As I've always said, she STILL blows all these current (and some older) wanna-be "sangers" (sic) straight outta the water, but she's never gotten the credit that she fully deserves!  | |

"My Body's Hungry" is getting ALOT of radio airplay in my area,as is "Baby I'm Your Fiend".This CD has at least four strong potential singles.Rick and Teena performed here yesterday,but I wasn't able to go. | |

On "Honey Call",I love that little rap thing she does at the end.She's not really rapping,just kinda speaking the words like a rap,y'all know what I mean? VERY clever and charming! It's a real sultry song,sounds like a Number One R&B smash to these ears. | |
