I want ALL of those songs!!I can't believe there are so many. Heuy,I read somewhere that ,I think,Songs in the Key of Life originally came with a special ep of other songs. Those ,apparently, are no longer available.Anybody have those or heard of that?I may have the album wrong, though.

DavidEye - thanks for that list!

I absolutely heart Stevie and, from what I've read, he's EXACTLY like Prince in the respect he just writes and records, writes and records (or, at least, been extremely prolific during his career). Apparently, he has just as many unreleased songs in his Vault as Prince.

What absolutely horrifies me is that I once read that, when he dies, Stevie allegedly wants ALL his unreleased music destroyed (or never released). It would be a tragedy! I'm sure there are many, many beautiful songs waiting to be heard - just look at Prince's outtakes.

HOPEFULLY Stevie/Motown will release a box-set someday. The critics would love it, the fans would love it and the dollars would flood in! What's the problem??! I'd certainly be first in line to buy a copy.

Part Time Lover and Ebony And Ivory may be the worst crap Stevie ever wrote. What was he thinking?

FYI, Paul McCartney is responsible for writing Ebony & Ivory nod

on the original release there was an EP included with 4 extra tracks (Saturn, Ebony Eyes, All DAy Sucker, Easy Goin' Evening), but that that was not included on later vinyl releases. However, on my CD version the 4 songs ARE there, two are addded at the end of each CD

did you know that "Overjoyed" was actully slated to appear on Journey, but Stevie felt it didn't match the rest of the album and took it out at last minute? No wonder it kind of feels "out-of-place" so to speak on In Square Circle.

Wow,I never knew that! That's such a gorgeous song, and if he had placed it on 'Journey',it could have easily been a huge hit single in 1979 (as a follow-up to "Send One Your Love").Did you know that "I Just Called To Say I Love You" was written in 1976 ? Not sure if it was ever intended for 'SITKOL' though.

If you get the remastered version of 'SITKOL',the four bonus tracks are added at the end of the second disc, which makes more sense. That way,you can listen to the entire album, and then enjoy the four additional tracks at the end,as an extra bonus.

nod It would be a shame if the world never gets to hear all those unreleased songs.

Some more Stevie trivia...

In 1983,Stevie apparently completed a new album that was never released.Titled 'People Move,Human Plays',it was even given a catalog number (Tamla 6047) and a release date, but it was cancelled at the last minute. This would have been his follow-up to 1980's 'Hotter Than July' (a 1982 double-album greatest hits set featured four new studio tracks).Looking at the list of unreleased tracks recorded in 1982/83,this is what the album might have looked like....

Stevie Wonder 'People Move,Human Plays' (canncelled album from 1983)---

"Rise Everybody"
"Whatcha Talkin' Bout"
"It's Growing"
Cold World,Warm Girl"
"Nobody Loves Me"
"Big Bad and Bold One"
"What You Don't Know"
"Broken Glass"

Yes...Also it must be mentioned that even though Ribbon In The Sky was recorded and released in 1982. Stevie actually wrote this classic.....in 1969.

Some more Stevie trivia...

In 1973,Stevie wrote and produced an entire album for Michael Jackson. The album was never released, but a song titled "Buttercup" was planned as the first single.Years later,in 1982,Stevie gave that song to a singer named Carl Anderson, and it appeared on his album 'Absence Without Love'.

Hmmm,it probably would have sounded better if it had actually been recorded in 1976,with the Wonderlove Band lol

I personally like the song as is (with Stevie playing everything). Don't get me wrong, Wonderlove was an awesome band, but Stevie's personal interpretation of the instruments (when he actually plays them) doesn't compare to when other people play them.
