Who's style is most like Princes? Call me freaky but I happened to like Princes funk, rock, soul, jazz, r n b and pop fused style....i was wondering what other artists and bands used a similar style.
Im simply looking to discover more artists and thought Id stick to what I liked.....Prince sorta sounding stuff So....who it is? "...because no-one gets there alone." - "...I like the floor. It's the only thing that seems real."

A'ight, well Sananda Trent D'arby is definitely 1.

I was going to say Sananda Maitreya/TTD.
He's the closest to P...although he doesn't sing like him or play guitar nearly as well. Next up would be Lenny Kravitz. Then of course you've got your Seals and Maxwells and D'Angelos. And I'm hearing Van Hunt is rumoured to be the next Prince. And don't forget Stevie Wonder of course, although Stevie really came first. Guitar-wise you could try Jimi Hendrix or Carlos Santana or George Benson. And of course don't forget The Time sound a lot like Prince because he invented them. Throw in any other "associated artists", too. If you've heard all of those, then I'm afraid I can't help you any further, because really no one sounds like Prince except Prince. "he don't want me to whoop his hero, Eric Clapton, but i'm a get in that azzz!!"
- Prince, "Glam Slam Boogie". IceTen, the orger AKA mrdespues, who has obviously run out of replies in that account.

You should check out "Midnite Vultures" by Beck. Sounds more like Prince than Prince himself lately.
