This cover is far from surprising. If she had been dressed, then I would have been shocked. Sex sell nowadays. there is something slightly disturbing about her being half naked on her hands and knees with an almost pleading look on her face. i'm all for women asserting their sexuality and becoming stronger from it but this seems to be heading in the completely opposite direction. there's nothing in this photo that says "independent, sexual, free-thinking woman". instead, it connotates an image of subjectivity.
