Prince fans, Alicia Keyes or India Aire?

There was an article in New York's Sunday 'showtime' on India Aire and Alicia Keyes, stating that the two are supposedly in comptetion for grammys, though their artistry are of the same caliber, but different in tunes. I personally really like Alicia Keye's voice, even if the song plays 50 times on the radio, it's bad! But when I read about India Aire, it made me like her even more, and look into her style in music like the hit 'video'. Besides her great voice, the young lady doesn't even work out! That's a sign of 'realness' compared to other celebs and besides, her music is just straight up positivity! Key's is more into blues and souls, which caught me first though, I'm still sticking by Alicia as a fav...

In addition (speculating), Clive Davis is also Alica Keye's mananger, which I think is maybe a reason why Prince was at the concert the other day? Maybe he was just showing some support for Clive and his new 'artist' or something, since Clive and he have some sort of agreement...

So the question, curious on Prince fans taste, who do you feel more INDIA or KEYES? Who do you think deserves to get all the awards AND attention?

I had the same experience re: India Arie. I didn't really like her until I saw a recent program telling about how she got to where she is today. After the program I had a lot more respect for her as an artist. She wasn't even interesting to me before, but now that I know a little more about the woman behind the music, I'm paying attention. I think that right NOW I'd go for India on cd, and Alicia live. Peace!

There's too much overexposure of Alicia Keyes. She's everywhere, on magazines and she performs on too many awards shows.

I'm feeling them both. Theyre both very talented, but Alicia gets more airplay, and props because shes backed by Clive, and has more european features. By some A & R peoples thinking, the whiter you look, the more marketable you are. Now spare me the nonsense, because the evidence speaks for itself. Its not gonna stay this way. It just happens to be this way, during our lives.
They say money don't buy you luv. But it'll help w/ the search.

Neither!! I think they're both overrated, and will probably end up being the flavors of the year, sorta like Lauryn Hill was 2-3 years ago. But, if I HAD to pick one, it'd be India, only because Alicia doesn't impress me AT ALL! She sounds like other stuff that's out, and Fallin' was a complete rip off of JB! I thought it was based on a sample of It's A Man's World, but it's not (supposedly). Is it supposed to be something she thought of herself, allegedly?! Yeah, right!
