Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, & Dionne Warwick Triple-Bill Tour Summer 2004

Well kids, it looks like the older generation is striking back with their own version of a "Ladies First" tour this summer with Whitney, Nathalie, and Dionne on a triple bill in Europe; I don't know the complete details of all the dates added, but I do know the ladies will do 4-6 venues in Germany in July. I would be happy to see Nat, but oddly enough I'm hesitant to buy a ticket for this show because I'm fairly indifferent to Dionne, and I'm also presuming I might be bummed out by Whitney's performance ( simply because I haven't seen her do a good one in ages). Tickets are running about 50-70 bucks, so should I go with the flow and take a chance? I mean, they are LEGENDS after all..but even as much as I loved Whitney as a young girl, I'm not certain I could take all of the catterwalling she does in her live shows (as a result of having abused her body and voice so intensely in the last ten years)...whadaya think...should I plunk down the dough for a ticket, or just wait for them to eventually come out with individual dvds?

Add Michael Jackson to the bill and they could sing Barbershop Quartet.

they should really call it the "Up in Smoke - 2004 Tour" since if they won't be smokin' at first, they will be eventually...umm all of them....

or the "CMB" Tour and have Nino Brown opening for them...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm not even going to read any of the comments. I just am going to assume that everyone agrees this is the saddest thing ever for Whitney if it is true!

What's Whitney smoking up now??
she should come back with a hot new style, she's still young enough and looks good (when she's not high)
this tour is really gonna make her come across as old and washed up
who is doing her pr??

HIIDDE THE DRUGS!!! stoned blunt.

All kidding aside, Natalie is sober but runs through husbands like funkay panties. Ms. Warick has yet to consult her psychic friends, and Whitney's Black Hebrew cult wants their cut before they let her go.

I love Natalie Cole but I'd only want to see her if she was playing her classic 70s stuff ("I've Got Love On My Mind"..."Our Love",etc). These days, she's mostly into jazz music.Nothing wrong with that, but I really miss her R&B stuff.

I love Dionne Warwick as well, and I'd like to see her in concert someday. She was recently on "The Wayne Brady Show",looking and sounding as good as ever.

As for Whitney...I just don't feel the same about her anymore.I was such a huge fan in the 80s,but lately, she's turned into a completely different person. Her last CD was really, really weak and these days, she gets more attention for everything BUT her music.I wouldn't want to see her unless she got herself together, put together a killer album for once, and display her awesome talents once again.
