We haven't talked about Bjork in a while...

I miss TRON. bawl

I guess there isn't much new going on with Bjork... But I'm gonna get another one of her dvds... Right now I only have Inside Bjork. I'm thinking of MTV Unplugged or Royal Opera House next.

Anybody have her first album?

Hasn't she got an album due out this year?

And that official debut was from around 1977, wasn't it? I've never heard it. sad

From www.bjork.com

Band: solo
Title: "Björk"
Catalog no: FA-006
Label: Fálkinn
Released: December 1977 (Iceland only)
Format: LP, MC

Side A:
01. Arabadrengurinn (05:00)
02. Búkolla (03:16)+
03. Alta Mira (02:30)
04. Jóhannes Kjarval (02:15)++
05. Fúsi Hreindýr (03:27)

Side B:
01. Himnaför (02:32)
02. Óliver (02:47)
03. Álfur út úr hól (03:04)+++
04. Músastiginn (02:44)
05. Bænin (02:00)

Note:
+ To the tune of "Your Kiss Is Sweet" by Stevie Wonder and Syreeta Wright.
++ Written and performed by Björk herself on flute as a tribute to an Icelandic artist.
+++ To the tune of "The Fool On The Hill" by The Beatles.

Recorded at the Hlíðrijinn Studios in Reykjavik, Iceland December, 1977.
Björk was only 11 years old when she released this, her very first album.
She was offered to make a second album slightly after this one, but turned it down.
This album was only released in limited edition and is very sought-after by collectors
and traders, sometimes reaching prices ranging from $100 to $700!

It was never released on CD! There are bootlegs in CD format, but people often
mistake them for an original release, but the original is only available in LP format.
Rumors have it that they released a cassette version too, but we have no evidence.

What's the address? There was a really great one called dwave or something, but it got closed down. You know another?

She said recently that she's going to do 2 albums in a row since she just came off of 2 tours in a row. She's trying it just as an experiment.

I have that album. There was a site that had the MP3's up a while ago, I was lucky to download it before they shut down. It's actually quite a good album, especially for an 11-year-old - the first track is particularly funky! Hints of things to come.

lol YES, WE WANT TRON!!!!! biggrin hug

Just read on Bjork.com that she may release two albums in a row rather than touring after the next one is released. That's a tough one ~ she is so amazing live but to have two releases back to back would be awesome as well.

HI VINA!!!!!
