Velvet Revolver When the hell did Scott Weiland and the members of Guns n' Roses become a band? I was watching MTV 2 nights ago and saw the video for "Slither". Scott looks like a young version of Keith Richards...all thin and emaciated, looks like a skeleton.
The song isn't that bad....I never liked Guns though...but I had every STP album. Maybe I'm a bit late being in Europe and all...but has anyone else seen this?!?

I LOVE Scott Weiland, but I wish STP were still together.
Not really so much into Velvet Revolver, but they're going to be in Philly in a few weeks, so I'm going to see them for Mr. Weiland.

They just played in Detroit last weekend. I wrote up a lil blurb on them for the paper I work for. Yeah, they're pretty damn good. And something tells me that the Axl Rose solo album is REALLLLLY gonna suck.

I tried to get tix for the NYC show, but it's sold out. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

velvet revolver have been a band for over a year. they recorded a song that was on the sountrack to a big hollywood movie (i can't recall the name of the song or the movie right now). they recorded a bunch of songs but then just before they were to start touring, weiland got messed up with drugs again and was sent back to rehab. i guess he is out now and they are going to try to make a go of it once again . The CD hits on June 8, and imho it's gonna blow the roof off the rock industry. I can't fucking wait If I want your opinion, I'll beat it outta ya!

I know, he was so handsome before, and he's so amazingly talented. It's such a shame, but I'm surprised he's been around this long. It's not going to be long before we hear a "Scott Weiland Dies of Overdose" headline.

why are all these ex-seattle front men....starting band with ex-members of other bands... is this a trend now?! Maybe, but Audioslave rocks more than RATM or Soundgarden ever did! I love STP, and I dig G&R, so I'm hopeful for this album (still miss STP though) One things for sure, it will be a helluva lot better than the phony G&R that Axl has right now (only good thing about that is Buckethead). Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
