AWB - any fans here?

hey. been readin the posts here for awhile, not really posted myself yet so hi to all smile

Anyway, is there any fans of the average white band here?
I'm going to see them, I think its the 29th? they are playing just 5mins from my flat in Edinburgh. Will be my first time seeing them but I'm surprised though I would have thought they played quite large venues? this venue barely holds 400 folk or so. Not that thats a bad thing!
I'll probablly tellyas all how they were after smile

Davideye and a few others around here gave me some great tips on which albums to buy.

I've picked most up on vinyl and just buy them all. To me some of it is a little mellow but the funky stuff is off the charts funky.

i love that song too!! "Soul Searchin" is such an incredible track...those horns are just intoxicating, and the drums are explosive. That's one of AWB's best songs ever.

THE LIVE ALBUM IS THE MOST AMAZING THING I'VE HEARD.

If you want to check them out for the first time, buy the live album called "Person to Person".

It just kicked my ass and I only have Namepeace and Davideye to Thank!

Aw shucks. The props go to FUNKitUP . . . and AWB.

I saw them play a free concert downtown in "The Nati" (Cincy) about 10 years ago. They had one horn with them. One. And STILL "turnt" it out!

Enjoy the show! You can't help but to get down to their jams. I saw them at a free show a couple of years ago in SF at Justin Hermann Plaza. The crowd was small, but everybody was dancing and singing along. You won't be disappointed.
