Teena Marie has officially made a comeback!

Her new album should find its way to around 100 000 copies sold by next week, forecasts Hitsdailydouble (based on first-day sales reports).

I suppose this and Prince's success make up for Usher. Some of my faith has been restored.

My hope: that there will be a hat trick with Donna Summer.

George Michael hopes to get in on the action next week with the US release of Patience.

You and me both. I think she is making a small attempt with recent appearances along with "The Journey". She really just needs a major label and that's what these recent "comebacks" have shown. I'm shocked that Sony wouldn't even release "Angel". What was the worst that could happen?

I'd love to see Donna make a comeback but unfortunately, she doesn't seem interested. In every interview, she keeps promising "a new album" but it never materializes.I think she's just fed up with the music industry. But she has the talent and i know that she could make another great album,if the circumstances were right. They should put her into the studio with William Orbit and Moby, and have her make a kickass dance/club/electronica CD,not unlike Cher's last two albums.

Donna still makes hot dance cuts here and there. However, maybe if she had to make 12 (give or take 2 or so) concentrated it might not be so great. However, she has done it ("Angel" was finished) but we may never know for sure.

If we've learned anything about Teena, Prince and other older artists making "comebacks" is that you have to bite the bullet and go to a major label that is really interested. If "Black Rain" was released on a small label, it might not have anywhere.

Listening tot he album right now. I'm on "Recycle Hate To Love". This is some good stuff so far. Her voice hasn't changed at all. I didn't think I would like the strong influence rappers would have on the album but so far it works.
