I'm not thinking of a particular video, but I remember watching MTV in its earliest days, back in gawd what was it, 1981, or so, I was a high school freshman, LOL!! Anyway, I just remember those early VJ's and I vaguely reacall some of the earliest videos. A lot of them were pretty unimaginative, but MTV still seemed like one of the greatest things ever! Oh yeah, I had to watch it over at my friend's or my older brother's house, cuz for the longest time my parents were too cheap to get cable! "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

Among the first videos that I remember seeing are: "Mickey" by Toni Basil, "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson and "Lucky Star" by Madonna.

Oh yes,I remember the early days of MTV.In those days,it was all about MUSIC...you didn't have stuff like Beavis and Butthead, the Real World, and Makin' Da Band.It was all music videos,24 hours a day.And they used to air entire concerts late at night,my older sister once stayed up late to see a Cheap Trick concert. We got MTV in the spring of 1982,when they used to show stuff like... "Tempted" by Squeeze "Face Dances Part Two" by Peter Townsend "Vacation" by the Go-Gos "I Ran" by a Flock of Seagulls "My Kinda Lover" by Billy Squier "867-5309/Jenny" by Tommy Tutone admittedly, many of these videos weren't very imaginative, and in most cases,it was just the band lip-syncing the song in a bare studio.Michael Jackson was one of the first artists to make big, extravagant videos that looked like mini-movies and were really exciting to watch.

BRO915 said: The Jacksons-Blame It On The Boogie(1978)....This answers your initial question.....this is the first video I ever recall seeing on the Don Kircher Rock Concert show....Anyboy remember this music show/program from the 70's?
On this Scanimate websitehttp://scanimate.zfx.com/ there's a link to a realmedia file that has a clip of Blame It On the Boogie: http://ehost1.zfx.com:808...15bVVDU.rm. Scanimate was the 70s precursor to modern-day computer graphics (I work in tv/video production, so I'm a real geek for this type of stuff). The clip is 15 min & 36 sec long, so you'll have to forward about 9:09 into it to get to the Jacksons part, (keep the realplayer browser small for a better picture) which runs for nearly :40 seconds. There are all sorts of old promos and commercials on the entire realmedia clip, so if you like primitive computer animation coupled with classic 70s hits or old cheesy 70s background music, then you might find it enjoyable. I like the Disco Radio commercial, 3:51 into the clip, with Le Freak playing in the background. ~Using the Fat Albert emoticon 'cause no one else is... ~

As a kid, the first pre-MTV video I remember is The Jackson's "Can You Feel It' video. I was always in awe of all the pixie dust and Michael's handclap thing with the spreading peacock wings.
