Anybody Hip to FRANK MCCOMB? Are y'all hip to this dude? sang and played with Branford Marsalis's on the Buckshot Le Fonque records and put out his first album, Love Stories on Columbia records produced by Branford back in 2000: Slammin' album, but it got no push whatsoever:
http://www.cduniverse.com...tyle=music I know people hate comparisons here, but he's the closet thing living to Donnie Hathaway - from the voice right down to the Fender Rhodes and electric piano playing...and of course there's a little Stevie thrown in ,too...anyway check him out if ya get a chance... He's got a 2nd album called "The Truth vol.1" (but it's only available as an import from the UK: http://www.frankmccombmusic.com/media/ " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout | |

ME!! I have the Truth and was introduced to him by the barman at my local Jim Thompson's, who actually has one of the best music collections! Everytime he is there , the best tunes are coming from the stereo.
When I heard 'When you call my name' I wasn't sure who the hell it was, Terrence Trent D'arby, Stevie Wonder?? So had to find out more and got his album soon after. I really love it it is soul music now, rather than neo-soul (whatever) GREAT The Hottest chip of them all - www.hotchip.co.uk - Get down with Prince
