Listen to Lenny's new album!

Hi

you can listen to some clips of Lenny Kravitz's new album at amazon.com and virgin.de
check out the EPK for Baptism: mms://emistream.exante.bi...ny_epk.wmv

Listen to Lenny's version of Electric Ladyland: http://hurl.content.loude...cid=600093

i really dig some of the new songs ('baptized','Uncharted Terrain' & 'destiny' are beautiful).
i'm not too sure 'bout his 'electric ladyland' cover, might grow on me

check out my site for more lenny news:

sounds REALLY GOOD for the most part....some of it is a litttle by the numbers though, but that's Lenny and I end up liking most of his stuff in the end anyway.

I don't know, I'm not too impressed. It sounds like the poor man's version of Circus (which I loved). But it also reminds me of his last album a lot, in that half of the songs are decent, and the other half are pretty unexciting filler. Maybe it will sound better in the CD player with multiple listens, but the excitement in his sound and passion in his songwriting is not quite there anymore. I wish he had stuck with the "Funk" album concept, because I think it would've served him better than to play the 70s rockstar role yet again....

I dunno, Its not that hot.. I just got the album and its just sounds like sounds that are already been made by artists before him.. I think Prince really recognized that his sounds are nothing but derived from his peers.. Does Lenny have his own sound anyway?
