Madonna has begun sheep breeding Madonna has begun sheep breeding
4.39PM, Tue May 11 2004 http://www.itv.com/news/280621.html Madonna and Guy Ritchie have fallen so in love with country life that they have started breeding sheep. The couple are hoping their celebrity name will help to sell a rare breed of lamb called Polled Dorsets. News that the stars have some woolly friends emerged during a hearing into ramblers' rights to roam across their country estate. Madonna's £9 million country retreat is a working estate with a nationally renowned shoot. Ramblers should not be allowed to walk across it, a public planning inquiry heard. Philip Eddell, a consultant estate manager for the popstar's 1,200-acre Ashcombe House, on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, told the inquiry the impact of allowing public access to 12 plots of land would be "devastating". "The impact on the estate of having the land shown on the provisional map included as open country would be devastating," said Mr Eddell. The singer and her film director husband Guy Ritchie claim around 100 acres of land at Ashcombe House, in Tollard Royal, has been inaccurately classified as open country on a provisional map. I donno, I'm distracted since they're so busy posting incredibly interesting, up-to-the-minute news on the special MJ sticky thread....oh, wait. [This message was edited Wed May 12 7:11:16 2004 by VoicesCarry]

Judging by ticket sales, that isn't the case. ticket sales arent indicative of anything..expecially when your only doing a select number of cities..... i have a friend who is a ticket broker...she has a crap load of tickets and they just arent selling...now im sure they will eventually but I just dont see the normal excitement that one expects from a maddy tour...usually everybody is all spastic over it..... Madonna-bashing is so played out.Hate her music, hate her persona, hate her worldview, hate her movies but at least admit that, when it comes to touring, she knows exactly what she's doing. That's one of the things that she does well, and even folks who dislike her must admit that. Her tour will be one of the biggest shows of the year and is expected to gross over $100 million this summer, but I guess you still consider that to be "disappointing",right? Trust me,the excitement is there. When the tour kicks off on May 24,there will be sheer pandemonium. As for your ticket-broker friend...Madonna is playing multiple dates on this tour (4 shows in Chicago,8 shows in the New York area,3 Bay Area shows, etc),so tickets are easier to obtain this time around.Fans don't have to let scalpers and ticket brokers rip them off.So that's why your friend is having trouble getting rid of those tickets. In a way,Maddy is beating the scalpers at their own game.By saturating the market, she's making it harder for scalpers and ticket brokers to do good business and that's a good thing. and despite your bashing,I bet that you will be there [This message was edited Thu May 13 3:29:30 2004 by DavidEye]
