I think she should get back the music and stop this "American Idol" crap. No offense, Simon.

Paula ruled back in the day! The production and songs off "Spellbound" r still great! "Spellbound" was her best album! Ironically the Prince penned track "U" is one of the weakest on there! It's not bad, but compared to "Vibeology" or the title track, it's very average! The album is edgier and more innovative then "Forever your girl" (which is great) and that is thanx to alot of the songs and production was done by "The family stand"! U should check out their albums if u can find them as they were very underated in the charts!

Also like "Never gonna give you up" off her 1994 bomb "Head over heels" as well as most of "Forever your girl"! The first side (I have the cassette unfortunately) of "Spellbound" though has NO FILLER in my book! Love 'em all! Side 2 is still great though and worth it 4 "Blowing kisses in the wind", a beutifully melodic sounding ballad!

"Opposites attract" (12" video version) is still cool! Loved that video back when i was very young!

by the way, doesn't Britney spears sound like paula on the title track, it's eerily similar!

Don't need a good voice 4 dance/pop songs! It ain't the voice that moves u, it's the beat! In fact Paula sounded alright on "Blowing kisses in the wind" which is a ballad! I prefer a rather average voice to a whitney or mariah clone anyday! Oversung, overblown, this is fine on some songs but sometimes it's too much 4 me!

janet jackson's "Again" is a good example of this! Beutiful and a proof then that a ballad did not have to hit all bloody high notes to be good!
