Seal's live performance tonight!

I was browsing through my front page of my local homepage... and saw that Seal is performing here tonight at the Dodge Theatre. So the sparatic soul that I am... purchased a ticket.

While I have not been a faithful listener to all his previous 3 albums, I do find great solice and personal elevated mood to arise when listening to his new album, Seal IV.

I find it rare to listen to an album from beginning to end... and his approached currently does just that, it's refreshing for me... for I truly feel I am way out of touch with today's music. I have several of my favorites and follow their music no matter what... although my eagerness gets the best of me at times.

I look forward to seeing Seal tonight... I find his music to be uplifting, pure, full of positive message and a strong sense of innerawareness combine with world awareness around.

1. Get It Together~ the lyrics to this song are my innervoice talking... "We got to keep this world together, got to keep it moving straight. Love like we mean forever, so people can relate. If you are rolling to the left, don't forget I am on the right. Trust and forgive each other, a little love... we just might. We got to do something..." heart

2. Love Divine~ I love this song... again within these lyrics, I find much of my innervoice talking when I hear this song. "Then the rain storm came over me and I felt my spirit break. I had lost all my belief you see and realized my mistake. But time threw a prayer to me and all around me became still. I need love, love's divine... please forgive me now I see I have been blind. Give me love, love is what I need to know my name. Through the wind storm came sanctuary and I felt my spirit fly. I have found all of my reality, I realized what it takes."

3. My Vision heart "I feel like the sun, I feel like the rain, I feel like I just found reason for living again. Cause what I have been dreaming, I know that it is real, I know there's just no changing the way I feel."

...

The funky upbeat feel of "Let Me Roll"

And the rest... I can go on... although I will say, I do look forward to hearing Seal live tonight... his music is like a breath of fresh air to me, we all need that from time to time. rose

My newfound time as of late, will help me get in touch with the diverse music that exists... I feel strong about that. peace It's all about positive message for me... there is just enough of the neg. we see and hear everywhere we go. Refreshing sound is what I search for to remind me of the good in this world. rose

For Nicholas/Milton and all... rose

Well... as for the Seal concert, it was very well worth it. I was running so late, for I went out of town that same day to visit my family. I knew I would be pushing for time... although I did make it right at 9:00 when he came on stage, perfect for me. I am not always into opening acts... that is one thing I love about Prince and his performances.

I was in the 15th row... the Dodge theatre is a intimate establishment (small), we watched Prince there for the ONA concert... it was heavenly. heart Anyways, I took my seat and he proceeded into his first song, from his newer album... although I never can remember which song or order. (duh) I do remember that the crowd was a lovely crowd... I really watch intently how people react to the sound... and most importantly to the person delivering the sound. It's all so interconnected, I love it! What I loved most about Seal or any artist for that matter... is how they react to their own sound/moment... how they relate with the people reacting to the sound/moment (emotion) he/she creates. The people were really feeling "Get It Together"... which I absolutely love. The lyrics to this song could very well be my personal International Anthem. rose (almost) wink Although the song that really touched my heart is "Love's Divine", now that speaks about me and where I am right now in life... in a sense. peace

Later... Seal got a bit more personal... and got the crowd to come closer to the stage, he seemed very comfortable with it and it was nice to see/feel as well. I was nearly right up against the stage... everyone was so "united"... that always inspires me... when complete strangers all come together and can truly get along. ~Sigh (love) Seal kept close to all the people for the rest of the night... it made my heart feel so toasty. giggle I got to shake his hand... and put my thumbs up! sign... and when he mentioned his band members (introduce)... he said something like, "I am so fortunate to have some incredible musicians to work with." I had my keys in my hand for I did not take anything else but my debit card, drivers license and my keys which have the prince symbol on them. Anyhow, I flashed Seal my keychain... he squinted to see what it was... did a quick smirk... and carried on. I don't think he appreciated it very much. giggle Just the same... it was so automatic and just like Prince and all incredible musicians... I adore all them beautifully and uniquely. yes Great Concert... well worth it and.....

I am off to go see Mary J. Blige tonight at the Dodge as well... woot! I am on a Live Concert kick/high. smoker wink
