Another Piano Legend! Mr.Fats Waller I read in Billie's biography book "Wishing On The Moon: The Life & Times Of Lady Day" that she would watch him play all night till it hits the 10 o' clock and that was Art Tatum's idole too(can't say he's betta then Art tho). One thing that is known about Fats besides his heavnly piano chops,,,his child-like sense of humor I really need to get into him more than I should.

Fats Waller was 1 of the grounbreaking pianoplayers.
His clownlike image U know with the funny clothes he always wore at times get in the way of his music. But the fact is that he influenced most pianoplayers at that time & he wrote some real classics, like "Ain't misbehaving". I'm always thinking of my grandfather when hearing him. He was crazy about the man & always had his music on. /peace Manki

Thanks for educating me, you are AWESOME.
Not to mention Manki (a great keyboardist) likes him, I'm on a mission now to learn more. Thanks again.
