I agree Sly was the bomb! Clinton says he was his greatest influence. He was doing the same thing they were. Took psychedelic to another level.

I heard there is a documentary coming on P-Funk. That will tell the entire story. I've heard shit that predates Sly that was Parliaments and was still psychedelic. Even Temptations admit being influenced by them. Norman Whitfield used to sit in the audience with a tape recorder.










Sly along with Jimi broke the whole psychedelic era open. But I dig them both so I don't like to put them against one another. Just like Prince vs. Rick James..LOL. Prince for sure lol
