Celebrities that get on your nerves!!!

Which celebrities do you think are overrated? Which celebrities do you find annoying? Which stars are you just plain SICK of seeing and hearing about? Here's my list...

***John Travolta---First,let me say that 'Saturday Night Fever'(1977) and 'Grease'(1978) are two of my all-time favorite movies. But,his new movies are NOTHING to write home about. And frankly,I liked him better when he was young and skinny....lol...

***Gwyneth Paltrow---Another over-exposed "actress".She's rather average-looking and not too exciting. And,why does she have to keep talking about her failed romance with that other over-exposed actor (forgot his name)?

***Destiny's Child---Every few days, one of them is in the news,"denying" that the group has broken up.They then go on to mention their solo albums.Who the f*** cares?? Stay together, break up,or retire.Either way,I couldn't care less!

***Mike Tyson---Lock him up and throw away the key!!!

***Danny Bonaduce---Have you guys seen this creep on that morning show called 'The Other Half'? Man,he is so annoying,he talks OVER the other three hosts, and his jokes fall flat everytime. He should only be brought out during "Partridge Family" reunion specials. The rest of the time,he should be locked up somewhere....lol..

***Janet Jackson---Ok,she's cute and she can dance. But,why the preoccupation with sex? Her last three albums have only ONE objective....to get a guy horny! When is she gonna evolve as an artist? Why not just do a porno film,or pose nude, and get it out your system and move on to something else? Sheesshh!

***Whitney Houston---I love her voice and she has done some great albums. But,her continuing drug addiction is overshadowing everything else.Get help, sweetie, because it pains me to place an artist of your stature on a list like this.

I'm sure I'll think of a few others before the day is through....lol...

* Destiny's Child...definitely!!...Go put them up wherever En Vogue and Expose' are at so we don't have to hear about them anymore...

* Jennifer Lopez....the girl has an O.K. voice at BEST, her songs are bland and uninteresting, and 80% of her movies suck huge bowls of ass...but she's got a killer body so I guess that's more than enough to keep the hype machine rollin'...sheeesh...

* Santana...God love him, but ENOUGH already!!...Yes, by all means, let's hear that guitar solo from "Smooth" for the billionth time while clips of him play on TV, as if that's his only claim to fame...let him go back into relative obscurity and just concentrate on making fantastic music instead of propping him up to use as the "reborn celebrity du jour"...

* Calista Flockhart...damn, that anorexic Alley McBeal idiot is hard to look at, isnt' she??...She just gets uglier and uglier each year, and her show apparently must stink up the airwaves now cuz they have given her a daughter AND given her Jon Bon Jovi as a love interest!!!...lol...Someone PLEASE cancel her dumb ass so we don't have to care about her anymore...!

* Robert Downey, Jr.....ENOUGH with his drug and police problems already!!!...There's no secret here, folks...he got hung up on drugs and can't kick it...period...it happens to thousands of people all over the country everyday, it's not some "sad story" about the fall of one of the "best actors of his generation"...it's a story about yet another young fucker in Hollywood who got hooked on drugs and can't go clean...whooopeeee....lol...and he's not EVEN THAT great of an actor...he has NO dramatic range...all his parts are acted in the same monotoned style with the dialogue delivered in a rapid pace...and with that same damn blank stare!!...He was good in "Less Than Zero", and apparently was very good in "Chaplin"...but everything else I've seen him in it's the same damn acting style...he's a male version of Molly Ringwald..!!

* Janet Jackson....David pretty much covered it all: a minimally talented singer propelled into stardom by hot producers and an even hotter celebrity brother who has hit her artistic and creative growth peak awhile ago--and it wasn't even THAT huge a peak to begin with...now she's just rehashing the same shit over and over...a second-rate Madonna at best, and not worthy of all the media attention she gets...

* Carson Daly....what the FUCK has this idiot done to deserve THIS much attention besides luck into the hosting job of TRL??...ANY bland, slightly witty host would be JUST as popular if they had been picked to host that show...I can't WAIT for his "VJ" bubble to burst once and for all...cuz you KNOW it will very soon...lol

* Barry Manilow....fucking bastard's stealing all of Prince's limelight!!

Oh, and John Travolta was excellent in both "Pulp Fiction" and "Get Shorty"...and was pretty damn good in "Face Off", too...

Now hold on a damn minute.

David, you're complaining about Janet's preoccupation with sex? Even though most of his most explicitness is in the past, how can a Prince fan do such a thing?

And WB, if you think Downey's range is limited, I doubt you've watched him much, especially in the past 5, 6 years when his acting has become notably better than ever before.

Sheesh! What's goin' on with you guys?confused

Madonna-(sorry David;))You are now the mother of two, with that comes some responsibility. Enough with the "shocking/offensive" schtick! Also it's sad the way she appears so condescending when discussing other artists and celebrities when she herself has minimal talent!
Britney Spears-she absolutely CAN NOT sing. Face it.
Christina Aguilera-She goes so overboard with her vocal gymnastics she isn't even in the right key eventually.
Beyonce-see above
Will Smith-His "music" sucks and his "FUNNY" personality is just annoying.
Jim Carey-Do I even NEED to give a reason here?
Adam Sandler-See above.
Fred Durst/Kid Rock-These guys had about a minute of being okay. The rest of the time they've been in the public eye they've just embarrassed themselves.
Tom Cruise-Oh yeah, real nice guy.rolleyes
Rosie O'Donnell/Oprah-Enough! Get out in the REAL world see what's REALLY going on!
That's all for now, but I am SURE I'll think of more!

The brilliant performance he gave in "Two Girls And A Guy" and another one directed by his father that I can't remember the name of. I didn't see Chaplain. His work on Ally McBeal was sublime, one of the few times I agreed with an awarded performance. Come on, don't judge him by those silly hormonal 80s teen flicks. That would be sort of like judging George Michael by his Wham days!eek

I agree, it was a very good performance...but it was him doin' the same stinkin' thing!!..lol...blank stares, monotone delivery, and rapid-fire dialogue...he's very good at that, and when he's on(like he was in this movie), he can give a great performance...but that's the ONLY type of performance he's able to give...which is muh point..lol

His work on Ally McBeal was sublime, one of the few times I agreed with an awarded performance.

And once again, on Ally McBeal he was stereotypical Downey...bland, blank stares, monotone delivery, and rapid-fire dialogue...lol...seriously, the guy doesn't have that great of a dramatic range...he has one mode he's very good at, but that's it...

Most of the "bling bling" rappers should, in my opinion, be dragged out into the street and beaten senseless with sticks.

What????? Aerogram is right! You're a hairsplitter! You're telling me the famous Chaplain performance (no, I didn't see it) was the same old thing, and that the guy in Ally McBeal and Two Girls And A Guy was all the same???? Sheeesh!

Hey Nova! smile

Not to speak for David or anything, but I think Janet's recent preoccupation with sex is too obvious, like she just discovered her clit yesterday or something. My girl went from "Let's Wait a While" to riding guys onstage for 10 minutes! I know she grew up, but you gotta admit her awakening took her over for a minute - anytime you're on Oprah & the lengthiest topic is your erotic piercings, you might as well wave a flag that says, "I'm a sexual being!" I'm all for it, but she could tone it down a bit.

Meanwhile, P has been "preoccupied" since jump, so we've come to expect it from him & not question it. He's also much more creative with it at times.

just a theory on Ms. Janet...

*

as far as celebs who bug me:

-all teenage boy bands
-Britney & Christina A.
-Jennifer Love Hewitt - can that bitch EVER stop smiling?!!
-anything that frequents MTV airwaves
-MJ
-Whitney Houston
-all actors from Dawson's Creek-type shows (who the hell are they & WHY are they in my InStyle magazine???)
-Destiny's Child: take a haitus, girls - didn't the All Star "boo's" give you a hint?
-Jennifer Lopez: the clothes suck & the music's worse, stick to acting
-rappers who "bling" (is that redundant?)

*

I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of right now...

*

for the record, I dig Robert Downey, Jr...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Janet Jackson thinks she is doing something new and original, but the truth is,it's ALL been done before. On the 'Purple Rain' tour,Sheila E. did that "bring a guy up on-stage and get nasty with him" routine.Madonna also did similiar things on her previous tours.Janet is just copying what's been done before her. And,just listen to her last three albums. Most of the songs cover the same ground, basically just SEX,SEX and more SEX.It's like, damn,we got the point already! A few years ago,she appeared on Oprah, and did she talk about her music? No,she was more interested in talking about her pierced nipples, and the joys of using coffee enemas!! I'm just saying,it's tired, played out and time to move on.

Now,I'm no prude or anything, and yes,as a Prince and Madonna fan,I should be used to these types of "shock tactics".But,if you notice,Prince and Madonna have BOTH moved on.They have *EVOLVED* as artists.Janet has not.
