A Perfect Circle

I just got home from seeing these guys live, and they were fuckin dope. The band was so on point it wasn't funny, and Maynard was the shit. That guy is such a pure talent. The set looked great and the sound was amazing. I would not only recommend their albums, but the shows also. With the exception of Maynard talking a bit of political bullshit at one moment, everything was perfect. It was also cool to see Geordie White And James Iha in the band.

They're a bit over-dramatic on stage (seen em on TV).

Tool were/are (not sure if they're still around) marginally better, but generally, even though I bought Aenima, I don't go for that kind of maudlin, goth-performance-art stuff. Gotta love Tool's drummer though....but Maynard's voice shits me.

His voice is amazing. He hit every note perfectly tonight and really let it out. I'm sure he'll be back with Tool next year.

I saw Tool right around when Opiate was released.
Anyway,Maynard came out in a dress wearing one of those
comedy/tragedy masks.Everyone there was like WTF?
When they were done with the set everyone was blown the fuck away man.
Maynard & Stayley(chains) favs by far.

Very cool. I've never seen them live, but I have seen Tool. I prefer APC to Tool, though.

I used to party w/ Maynard, believe it or not, he lived in and started out in Grand Rapids,Michigan, of all places, about 15 yrs ago. I dated one of the band members from his very first group, too. One night back then, Maynard was over at my place and he sat on my lap and rubbed his back against my breasts and said "Man, if I was a woman I'd never leave my house".

Some people in my group of friends used to think he was evil, like a warlock, but one of my friends dated him briefly and she really liked him. Said he was brilliant.

I've recentely seen them (APC) in concert as well. How is it that Maynerd can do a entire show without revealing his face?? Adding to that, how is it that he has two successful bands and has never shown his face? Is he horribily disfigured or an alien? I like both of his groups, but I would prefer APC concerts over TOOL's, therefore I won't have to fight with some drunk moshhead.

He's not disfigured (though he isn't much to look at, either). Doesn't he show his face while touring with TOOL?

I love this band! In fact, I like them quite a bit more than Tool (thats not to say I don't like Tool, so no flaming).

I think its great that Maynard can go back and forth between these two bands. Both are quite distinctive.

So sad that they are playing here in Houston on one of the nights of my play bawl
