remember this?.... zapp-be alright

a lot of old school jams get mentioned here, but people seem 2 4get that the late roger troutman and zapp have had their share of classics 2 so i bring u "be alright" from rogers 1st album, "the many facets of roger" or if i'm wrong then the 1st zapp album....i love everything about this jam especially the benson-esque guitar that u never want 2 end.... and it doesn't 4 10 mins....lol

yep, "Be Alright" great goove from the first Zapp album in 1980

maaan Zapp & Roger definitely one of my all time faves!! woot! Roger is sadly missed sad

btw, anybody heard the new Zapp VI album yet? yep, without Roger.... I dunno what to expect really... some sources tell it's quite good capturing the classic Zapp vibe at least on some tracks, but hey... without Roger I'm in fear of some major dissapointment here...

true words... I don't know yet who's participating on that CD.. myself I'm fearing some cash-in project by some former 2nd line members... on the other hand Roger didn't sing all of the Zapp tracks himself, and musically it is possible to recreate the original sound... but will the magic touch be there? anyway I AM curious and I will make my mind up when I hear it

It's got me on it as a guest... check out the track...

It's actually a homage 2 Zapp which will be used on the "New Funk Order 2" project.

Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!

Zapp's 'Be Alright' is a cool song and is from their first album 'Zapp'. The song was also sampled by Tupac 4 'Keep Ya Head Up'.

Also check out my Roger & Zapp site at:

http://www.geocities.com/rogerandzappuk

I'm a big fan of the late, great Roger Troutman and Zapp, they are my all-time fave band, (2nd is Morris Day & The Time) and its cool that there r other fans of Roger & Zapp here!.
