Remember these Jams?

I was digigng through my music and looking for some old forgotten jams and I found some and wanted to see if anyone was digging these tracks...

First I found my old Rene and Angela compliation/mix CD I made with tracks like:

Free and Easy
I love you more
I'll be good
Your smile

on that CD I threw some Rick James on there (man is he underated or what?)

Ghetto life
Bustin out
Sucker for love (a little lady T thrown in with Rick "do do wah wah")
Glow (This song is possibly my favorite Rick James joint)

And since I like a little diversity on my mix cd's I put these tracks on it

Intruders: "Love is like a baseball game" and "Cowboys to girls"
George Michael: "Happy"
2 Hall and Oates tracks: "Method of modern love" and "Some things better left unsaid" (I love these 2 songs)

I like listening to forgotten artists like Rene and Angela or tracks from Popular artists past or present that fly under the radar a little. Anyone dig any of these songs I listed? And name some great under the radar songs from your faves I am always on the look out for some....

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

I've been wanting to pick up the Carrie Lucas Greatest Hits CD that came out recently.Remember her 1979 hit "Dance With You"? Man,I love that song! That's a killer groove, but the song cracks me up.The lyrics sound as if they written really quickly, while the song was being recorded...lol...it's as if the producer told Carrie "Just say anything" during the verses...

"So good,so good....I like it,I like it....I gotta keep dancing....come on and "ho ho ho"....I wanna sing while I swing with ya....ooh ooh ooh ooh"

Charming song nonetheless lol

Another song that is the jam but it's not R&B though is "Bad N Ruin" by The Faces and Rod Stewart. I watched Sopranos this past weekend and they played that song at the end and I had to get it! I love that song it's the jam it's funky as hell! For anyone who hasn't heard it I would advise you to give it a listen it's awesome....

I wonder whatever happened to Carrie Lucas? She was a part of the whole Solar empire, which also included Shalamar,The Whispers,Lakeside and The Deele.
