Evelyn "Champagne" King & Janet's "RnB Junkie"

Wouln't be cool if Miss Jackson did the "RnB Junkie REMIX" with Evelyn "Champagne" King singing over her sampled track with the original lyrics in the bridge or just a remix duet.

I don't really like what they did 2 Evelyn's song "I'm In Love" but the great thing is she's getting paid big time wink

I heard that she's working in some big company as the reception girl. It says so in the liner notes in one of her compilation CDs, she make a living out of that AND touring. Yep, she's on the tuff hustle alright,,,much props & juice 2 Miss King nod

Since high school, I have loved "Love Come Down", "I'm In Love", and "Shame".. but after buying this compilation of her greatest 7" and extended 12" versions, I have been a Champagne King junkie.

Is she really getting anything from this? I don't think she wrote that song. I know Kashif produced it and most likely wrote the music. I doubt she saw a dime from this.

*edit*

looked it up and Kashif/Saleem are listed as composers. Evelyn isn't getting shit.

Kayne West sampled Chaka's "Through The Fire" even tho she didn't write it and she's getting paid 4 this, why should Evelyn be any different?

You might be correct, Harlepolis, but you should consider Kanye sampled Chaka's actual voice. Evelyn's voice doesn't appear on Janet's track.

You might be correct, Harlepolis, but you should consider Kanye sampled Chaka's actual Im Losin My Best Friend is cool homie loc. It has that dark ghetto 1995 feel 2 it.

There's a recent gospel song that samples Evelyn's "Love Come Down," but I can't remember the name of it, or who it's by at the moment.

Haven't heard Janet's "R n B Junkie" so far.

I'm not sure that an offical remix like that will happen but I'm sure that some innovate Janet/Evelyn fan will make an offical mix that might make the rounds on the net. Could be interesting.
