A lot of crap so far, and nothing really stand-out. I like George Michael's Patience though.

Technically 2003 albums since they were released internationally in November 2003. But if we're talking American release dates then I'd definitely have to agree with you. I liked BL especially. Between Janet, Kylie and Madonna's most recent albums, it's my favourite.

Sadly, I have yet to be truly wowed by anything this year so far! Most of the stuff I'm listening to are either best of collections from my favorite artists and FLEETWOOD MAC baby!

Here are mine...

1-10,000 Maniacs-'Campfire Songs' (Best of)
2-Prince-'Musicology'
3-Courtney Love-'America's Sweetheart'
4-Jackson Browne-'Very Best of Jackson Browne'
5-All 3 FLEETWOOD MAC reissues 'Tusk','Fleetwood Mac','Rumours'
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

wow 2004 has been a bad year for music so far... i really can't think of anything right now apart from Musicology that i've played alot, except for compilations like the Jackson Browne and Hall & Oates releases.

John Frusciante's Shadows Collide With People
Fantomas' Delirium Cordia
Prince's Musicology (Time will tell if this one stays on the list.....)

That's all for the list so far this year, we'll see how things shape up. Curious about that new Wilco, Sdldawn, you've actually heard it? It's not out yet.....

And yes, my list doesn't include Aerosmith's Honking On Bobo, and no, my list ain't missing a thing for it!

I can only think of four in no particular order....

Kylie's Body Language
Prince's Musicology
Van Hunt self titled
George Michael's Patience

I believe that's it so far. I've enjoyed bits and pieces of "Damita Jo" but it's just not good enough to deserve a place in a top five list. Same with Usher, except even worse- 2 good songs and a lot of below average filler. The new Aerosmith was a huge disappointment, imo. I couldn't bring myself to purchase it, I thought it was garbage.

The second half of the year looks promising, and there's a slight chance that Lenny Kravitz' new one in May might be decent.

1. Kanye West - College Dropout **** preach that brutha!

2. Prince - Musicology *** not his best but nice and strong effort

3. Damita Jo - Janet *** highly under-rated and dissed on and stands above All 4 U

4. NERD - Fly or Die ***1/2 nice record but not as catchy as In Search Of

5. Usher - Confessions ** (only cuz there arent really any mo new albums i heard other than those and Carl Thomas, but im sure usher will be replaced quickly, cuz while it started off good..it got lost in the middle).

Fantomas' Delirium Cordia

Though I didn't like Delirium Cordia, it is amazing to see this album mentioned in a positive light on a Prince website. You get a star just for mentioning Fantomas.
