Prince isn't the only 80's megapopstar to turn into a religious nut. Here's Madonna....

Taken from www.madonnatribe.com:

Madonna is so devoted to Kabbalah, she has broken ties with her longtime
best friend Debi Mazar because Mazar doesn't believe in the tradition of
Jewish mysticism.

"They are no longer best friends", a source in Madonna's camp confirmed.
"Debi is very hurt and confused, but Madonna has made up her mind. These
women have been friends for 20 years and now, nothing." The women have
young children a year apart, which initially brought them closer. A rep
for Mazar declined comment.

Liz Rosenberg, Madonna's rep, said: "They are still friends. Madonna is
rehearsing six days a week so she doesn't have a lot of time, but the
love is still there".

Madonna now prefers hanging around the much more deferential Ingrid
Casares and Britney Spears, who have followed her lead and started
following the precepts of Kabbalah.

Insiders aren't all that surprised by the move. "Madonna is doing
everything for Kabbalah. She and Guy Ritchie are its biggest cash cows -
they make a lot of money for the Kabbalah Center," one said.

Not only did all proceeds from Madonna's children's books go to the
Kabbalah-inspired Spirituality for Kids Foundation, she also insists on
drinking only the Center's "blessed" bottled water (twice the price of
regular bottled water) and donated $5 million to the Center in London.
Now she's gotten Ritchie to write a movie with Kabbalah themes. Insiders
also say she'll donate a chunk of change from her upcoming "Re-Invention
Tour" to the Center.

The sold-out tour, in which Madonna will sing many of her greatest hits,
runs from May 24 to Sept. 4 and covers 16 cities. In observance of the
Sabbath, no dates will fall on a Friday.
"Look at the schedule," said a music industry insider. "It is grueling.
Not many young performers can handle that schedule, much less a
48-year-old woman."
Another source at Madonna's label Maverick said: "She is thinking of
having several nights on her tour where the proceeds will be donated to
charity. And the Kabbalah charities are of course on that list." Madonna
can expect to rake in at least $50 million.

A rep for the singer said: "This tour is similar to all the other tours
she has done. There is nothing unusual about it". As for donating to
Kabbalah, her rep said: "This is a profit-making venture for the
Material Girl."

Peeking in on the NY Post editorial meeting:

Editor #1: "This schizophrenic dude accosted me on the way to lunch and told me Julia Roberts was a bull dyke with connections to the zoot suits on Mars!"

Editor #2: "Then Cameron Diaz is her partner in crime."

Editor #1: "Sounds fit to print!"

/loves the fabricated "music industry insider" who doesn't even know Madonna's age, but apparently is privy to her personal life and touring activities

yes. and now if we could only get her to DRESS like she's a damn good looking 45, instead of this elderly british school marm look she's adopted lately, since she went all respectable and became a children's book author rolleyes

well, at least Madonna hasn't "pretend" she's ashamed for what she's done...
Inside, she's the same person, a little more spiritual maybe, but she's not trying
to "re-arrange" the universe...

Remember???
"ABSOLUTELY NO.. REGRETS" (Human Nature video)
"America is a continent..."
