New Stevie Wonder Album "A Time To Love" June 8, 2004 Hey Ya'll!!
Given Stevie Wonder's legendary tendency to take his time before releasing new albums, I hesitate to post this, but this seems like a sure thing this time. Check the bottom of this Stevie Wonder site for a picture of the new cd taken from an LA Billboard. The billboard also states that Stevie will be on Oprah on June 8,2004. Now I hope the boy isn't going to stand Oprah up, particularly since she bought him a new Rolls Royce after he sang at her 50th birthday celebration: http://steviewonder.org.uk/ This site also has a nice news section.

I might have, but #1. I just saw the cd cover this week for the first time. I had the title before. #2. Ya'll got me started with those other Stevie threads. #3. I was at Prince's Musicology MTV taping at Webster Hall. There was a release party for the cd later that night. A friend of mine told me that as soon as I walked out the party STEVIE WONDER popped in, So I've been on a serious Stevie/Prince vibe all week.

Yeah, they reported that he and Maxwell were in the building.

No Joke!!( Got ma' fingers crossed ) Me too. I was wondering why Stevie no longer tours anymore. I was talking to a coworker recently, and was saying that it's a shame that Stevie no longer hits the road to promote his albums. Maybe he doesn't need to do that, but damn, if he came to my town, I'd go to see him a heartbeat. He is a truly gifted musician. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The thing that bugs me is Stevie has a vault just full of unreleased stuff; but he is real picky about what he releases. Too pickey, if you ask me. Should a genius take this long?
But we all hope it will be a great album, and not another In Square Circle. All you others say Hell Yea!!

I just hope Stevie has been inspired by something this time around. The last tracks I heard from him were the Bamboozled soundtrack cuts, and they didn't move me at all. I would love to hear him play drums on one of his albums again and make something that doesn't sound so glossy.

I know right? shit, stevie is the kind of genius that dont even NEED A new album to tour, he can make dough off of playing his classic shit live FOREVER. The Org is the short yellow bus of the Prince Internet fan community.

I agree with you, Stevie has SO MANY classic hits that he could do a 2 hour show, no problem. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
