EAMON and the Song "F**k It"....EWWW!!! Can someone please explain how this kid Eamon, from Long Island, I think, managed to get
such a garbage piece of music like the song "Fuck It" pressed and released on the airwaves to torture the heck out of my eardrums??? I usually consider myself to be open and fair when it comes to supporting young artists and not criticizing them- but I'm sorry, this song SUCKS bigtime. To make matters worse, he's hit number one here in several European countries (but alot of the people don't understand the lyrics, thankfully), and all I can think is, have we as Americans reached a new low in terms of what we are exporting to the global masses and trying to pass off as CULTURE? When I think of some of our more creative acts who can't get a fair shake in the market, but then watch this kid coast to the top of the charts with this mess of a song which I had originally thought a parody , I get irritated like hell . I mean, we have sooo many great talents out there in the States and all we can manage to export overseas are the usual MTV Top Ten Culprits, and then a piece of crap like Eamon's "Fuck It"??? I hate it, it's embarrassing, and I think that culturally it makes us look pretty dense. Now if I've missed something as to why this is supposed to be a good song, somebody please fill me in, because I just don't get it... that's my rant for this week...

it bothers me that its ok to release a song with lyrics like this,. its aimed at kids..and i'm sorry and possible old fashioned here but ppl in that position should have more responsibility. if i had a child i would frigging go crazy. yeah so kids swear..we all do..but damn..this is just irresponsible and stupid.
my rant over now How, i'm gonna make that booty boom...step back, give a girl some room....OH

A song with misogynistic lyrics to rival hardcore rap that was released only because it has the production sheen of treacly boyband R&B. This is an awful, awful record.

I've heard only the clean version, as it's on heavy rotation on all the music video channels here in the UK. It's a nightmare. His horrible whiney voice grates on me. weeks more of that shit, i swear i'm going to go insane.

How funny that no sooner do I go offline and go to relax in front of the TV, do I see the little blockhead in question EAMON giving an interview on MTV music televsion .
Sure enough, it appears alot of young people here who aren't fluent in English are a little fuzzy on the lyrics (hence MTV or VIVA tv europe seemingly having no problem with playing the unedited version of the song) and a fan asked him about the inspiration and meaning of the song from one of those "street-cams" they use for music shows now; do you know this little no-home-training-still-wet-behind-the-ears-kid had the nerve to tell the story behind the song, i.e. how at age sixteen he caught his then girlfriend giving one of his boys HEAD, and the song was an exacting of revenge???Like we really needed to know all of that...I swear, you would think I would be more open minded because I used to listen to prince as a teenager, but somehow IT AIN'T SO between this song and that damned "YEAH" by Usher coming on every 5 minutes I think I'm tempted to turn off my TV and radio for the next 6 months! By the way, I also notice that VIVA and MTV have a tendency to play ALL of the UNEDITED versions of R&B and hip hop videos whenever there's an urban act as a feature or guest; it's SOOOO annoying because these videos ALWAYS have nudity (as in, if you see a video 'ho in a bikini at home in American videos, over here they market the version where the bikini has been REMOVED and aforementioned video 'ho is buck naked ) and I think that totally projects an incorrect perception of how young urban Americans live on a daily basis in the States; it's almost like if you were just to go by the urban videos you see on the televsion music charts here today, you would think all urban young people in the US sit around in wildly expensive homes having house parties with boys swigging liquor and girls ALL TOO EAGER to take off their clothes and sit around buck naked or let random strangers smack their asses while they do the latest version of the "booty clap"...I swear, it all just grates my damned nerves to no END

Is this the one that goes, "you ho, I don't want you back"?? They play that bullshit @ my gym every hour on the hour - do you know how hard it is to block all that noise out? I'll be deaf in a year

Fuck it, i quite like this. Although i think the "you ho" bit sounds lame - I think he should have said, "you bitch".
