Music sucked. You could hardly hear her vocals and the beat in the first performance reminded me of another song, but I can't put my finger on it.

She spoofed her Superbowl "wardrobe malfunction" twice. Once as Condeleeza Rice and again as a young Janet. lol

Two bad songs and a bunch of Superbowl/tit jokes.

Pretty sad.

Her Condi impression was fantastic! Too bad the pathetic SNL cast and writers let her down, as they do anyone hosting. Poor Amy Poehler; she was dazzling on Conan and is in purgatory on that hellhole.

Janet did a great job. She's come a long way, and comic acting seems to be something she can do with ease.

Her spoof of Rice was dead-on hilarious. She missed on Paula Abdul's voice during *that* skit (trying to avoid a spoiler for those who taped it), but she looked like she was trying hard not to laugh, too.

Janet's been doin' the same dance moves for a few tours, now, so I wasn't expecting much for the performances. I thought the first performance was better, but you couldn't really hear her vocal track that well. (Oh, come on, y'all know she wasn't singing...)

On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a real solid 8. The writing for the skits seemed better than of late; when I saw the Good Times skit, I got the impression the writers had been trying to develop some Jackson-specific skits for a while. The Jackson-tour spoof skit went really well, too. Janet even touched on some of the rumors about her. falloff

Fun stuff, especially her Condi Rice impression (that was ON the money). She was trying not to laugh in several spots (ex: the Brian Fellows skit, where they're on the airplane together), but overall she came through quite well. She also seemed to be one of the least fake, most human hosts they've had in awhile.

BTW, did anyone else think Janet looked her age for once? Without tons of makeup, she looks 37.

The two songs she did were "All Nite (Don't Stop)" and "Strawberry Bounce".

Spoilers in case you taped it!

I was watching the news right before the show and they really fucked up and they actually showed some clips from the show! I’m not sure if these were rehearsals but if they were they must have been dress rehearsals because I saw

-a clip of Janet as Condi
-a clip of Janet in “Good Times”
-a clip of Janet performing “All Night” (probably) but she may have been wearing a different shirt
-a clip of Janet and the “Ghetto Girls” waiting for Janet tickets
-a clip of Simon talking with Tina Fey during the news (they must have scraped that).

And it was only like a few second clip! Keep in mind I live in Michigan and that is the East Time Zone, same as SNL. I’m just wondering where they got this cause it kind of spoiled the surprises! It just sucked that they did but since there were a few differences I guess it was indeed live. Anyway, I thought Janet was excellent (the Condi one blew my mind, but notices that she screws up and calls Cheney “Mr. President” but nothing is made of it) in every skit and the musical performance where quite good. It was the usual “All Nite” except with different outfits and I honestly think she was singing most of it. “Strawberry Bounce” was a suprise (didn’t we all think she was going to do “I Want You” or maybe “Just A Little While”). The lamest skit was the Simon Cowell judging that stupid Easter preformance...poor Chris Kattan came back for that? Also, the cork sucking thing was lame and I couldn’t believe Janet kept laughing through the whole thing. And “Prince Show” was a near carbon copy of the orignal skit. It was better the first time but I liked Janet’s Paula Abdual. I think Janet did damn good in most of the skits but screwed up a few times (most real actors do and not to say that Janet isn’t a real actor). I think that SNL did a better job of writing this time for Janet but it could have been better.

They tape a dress rehersal with an audience about an hour two before the the show that gets broadcast. that's prob where the clips you saw came from

I caught the last 20 minutes of SNL.. The skit i saw her in, she could't hold a straight face..

As far as her performing goes, she is still using the same moves that she did back when she was doing Rhythm Nation... Her and her brother need to go and see the a new Choreographer.

The last 20 mins of any SNL is always garbage and the muscial guest tends to preform either a hit or something new off the album that probably isn't single material (Janett opting for "Strawberry Bounce" was OK I guess but its one of the lesser songs on DJ). Anyway, you missed some great skits with Janet like Condi, the monolouge, Brain Fellows (definately the best Brain Fellows they've done), "Good Times" and Janet as a ghetto Janet fan! It was good stuff.

The Janet fan one was funny especially when the white guy looked at Keenan and was like "Can you help us out" and Keenan was like "Nooo, I'm scared of those people just liek you are!"
