I'm not into hip hop, the only thing close to that I listened to was the landmark albums "Please Hammer don't hurt em" & "To The Extreme" from MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice when I was a kid. Anybody who was cool owned those albums!

But seriously I don't get what's so bad about Eminem, he has great flow, he is funny, he can also make catchy songs like Lose Yourself and The Real Slim Shady...

Is it because he is white, and doesn't have street cred. that he is starting to get disliked? Or is he getting overexposed like MC Hammer/Vanilla Ice?

What's wrong with the guy? I don't like any of the songs from Fifty cent, Ja Rule, Nas,etc. The only hip hop artist I kinda dig besides Em are Tupac and old school Run DMC...

To me it is because Eminem is not that genius he pretends to be! I said it be4, without Dre he is nothing!!! His 1st album was ok, but the second was a repetition of the 1st not to sdpeakk about the Eminem show.
I thnik he is a nice artist for kids who are searching for their musical taste.... But he depends on the musical man Dr. Dre.....
Plus he acts like he is really someone, and he is not!!!!!

He's not appreciated here because his rapping voice is very weak, his lyrics are bad, he doesn't contribute a shit to his music on a musical level and is also a very negative rolemodel for kids that form his main target audience and that he actively approaches with his releases.

Oh, and he dresses up real bad. Enough?

Why do Eminem fans need approval by the few people that don’t worship him? I got a very strange message like this in a Howard Stern club that I post on. It scream of “Love Me. Daddy” (I guess in Eminem’s case, “Love Me, mommy”). Shouldn’t the talent speak for it’s self. I’m not one of those people that is vocal in my hate for him. I just kind of ignore him. It’s the “praise and ignore” approach!

I accept that there are people that hate on Janet and other artists I like. If they wanna debate, that’s cool. I don’t try to convince them she is good by making new threads like “Why do people hate Janet”. You’re not going to change people’s minds...Sorry!

yes its true Dre helped em out, and showed him the ropes Em has been producing music for other artist including his D-12 group

I really wanted to not like him after that "My Name is..." crap but I loved the Eminem Show cd (save for a few tracks) But I'm not a rap fan by any means but I think "Cleaning out my Closet" is brilliant.

coz hes a prick and i cant understand anyone liking him who is over the age of 13!
