I don't know if this was a concert or a play, but I was sooo embarrassed at the time. My dad bought me and my mom tickets to see Beatlemania, I was 12 didn't know a dang thing about the Beatles and during the whole thing I was looking around noting besides my mom there was no one that looked like me nor was anyone near my age, I shrunk to about 3 inches tall, and was fuming. I was so scared one of my friends would find out, how, I don't know, but I was terrified.

I went to a Ricky Nelson concert at a county fair with my mom when I was about 10. Yes the dad of the two guys in the picture
that is the only one that I can think of but I really wasn't embarrassed. I saw all the great old timers at different "Day on the Green" "KoolJazz festivals" and the like. Growing up in the 70's and 80's in the San Francisco Bay area was a blessing. The concerts by Bill Graham were incredible :rip: We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Well, my parents drug me to a whole lot of really bad religious bands when I was a kid, the worst of which was: PAT BOONE!!! (to my parents credit, they walked out after about the third song. Even they thought it sucked!)
Once of the aforementioned religious shows was "Petra". Sweet Chistmas, was that bad (although I did meet the guitarist for the opening act, who went on to fame as the guitarist for Kings X: Doug Pinnick!) Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)
