FLOETRY -appreciation thread!

I have just started re spinning the floetry alum, anyone else feeling their debut "Floetic" and they're live album "floacism" (which features new songs)
if u haven't heard of floetry here is review of the duo from amazon.com

Amazon.com
It's hard to imagine two more talented hipsters than Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius and emcee Natalie Stewart, a.k.a. the Songstress and Floacist. The U.K. duo's Floetic debut has it all--smooth R&B, soulful jazz, hip-hop, spoken word, supple ballads and a warmth that cradles the listener from beginning to end. In short, it's exquisitely, decidedly feminine. The pair occasional raise the roof with sizzling rhymes and beats, but they clearly place a premium on vibe, evident in Floetic's mostly chilled, after-dark feel. Jill Scott and Michael Jackson have already benefited from Floetry's deft songwriting; Jacko covered Floetry's "Butterflies" on his Invincible disc. A demo version of that song is included here, but that's the least of the bounty. "Hello" is pure honey with the women's silky voices braided in harmony while the dreamy, gently gurgling "Sunshine" is like a soundtrack to a daydream. Comparisons abound (Lauryn Hill-meets-Dionne Warwick as scored by a blunted De La Soul maybe?) but perhaps the best description of Floetic yet unearthed is "sass and soul." And, at almost 70 minutes long, it's a steal. --Kim Hughes

Word from my Virginia music contact is Timbaland has signed Floetry to Beat Club, and dropped Bubba Sparxxx, Ms. Jade, and indian singer Raje Shwari (who sang on Timbaland & Magoo's "Indian Flute" and was recently recording an album with Timbaland, Nottz, Hannon, and Neptunes. Timbaland recently dismissed her on international radio saying Raje was only good for singing hooks.)

yo im feeling you...Floetry and Timbaland????Floetry has to much artistic integrity to hook up with that clown...I'm hoping that shit is a rumor. My opinion is this if it ain't broke don't fix it,they are just too deep and musical for his sub par mediocre run of the mill production.

Tweet doesn't have to worry.. she's been down since the Bassment days (1993).

Bubba Sparxxx has a serious drinking problem that made him unable to do promotion for his last album, and the sales suffered as a result. sad

Timmy and Missy aren't that bad, but its really hard to listen to a whole missy or timmy album, the beats just start to bore you and give you migranes after a while, its all too 'clubified'... Timmy didnt ruin Aaliyahs career (granted, aaliyah was already known when she signed to him) her stuff got so much better after she hooked up with them, and i like Tweet her album was good the kind of album you'd study or chill to but never buy, she was promoted all wrong i think, well at least in the uk.

Floetry are cool, i think they're doing a lot better in America then they are in England though, the only thing i knew of theirs was butterflies so i checked out their album, they're with a touch of jazz at the moment right ? i cant really remember, but i thought that whole jazzy-jeff vibe really suited them though, i dont see how Timmys beats are gonna fit, unless hes going to try something new...
