Lupus may be hard to diagnose. It’s often mistaken for other diseases. For this reason, lupus has been called the “great imitator.” The signs of lupus differ from person to person. Some people have just a few signs; others have more.
Common signs of lupus are: Red rash or color change on the face, often in the shape of a butterfly across the nose and cheeks Painful or swollen joints Unexplained fever Chest pain with deep breathing Swollen glands Extreme fatigue (feeling tired all the time) Unusual hair loss (mainly on the scalp) Pale or purple fingers or toes from cold or stress Sensitivity to the sun Low blood count Depression, trouble thinking, and/or memory problems Other signs are mouth sores, unexplained seizures (convulsions), “seeing things” (hallucinations), repeated miscarriages, and unexplained kidney problems.

I'd sue the mortician. Looks like a bad embalming job.

I agree and personally feel that it should be considered one of the 7 deadly sins for a black man to have no facial hair. ----- Thank God some finally said A black man without some facial hair is wierd.

Michael just doesn't look good in facial hair. I think he looks disasterous. http://www.mjimm.com/mjco....php?t=911 Those are vitiligo pic. Michael claims to have vitiligos and nothing else. Lopus? Where did that come from? Does anyone here watch America's next top model. The black girl, Mercedes, had lopus and she didn't look all ugly. Michael should have stop all that plastic surgery at the BAD era when he still sort of looked black.

Looks more like spots the concealer didn't get to.
Honestly, can you tell me why a man who holds a press conference to rat out his boss wouldn't just come clean about having a relatively easy-to-handle skin disease? With all Michael's charity work, you'd think that would be at the forefront of his agenda. It also would help him clear up some of the myths about his surgery. I'm not buying it.

The only reason fans talk about the lupus thing is because it was revealed in court documents over some lawsuit MJ was facing. Michael has actually never spoke about it publicly. Although he did speak at a Lupus fund raiser last year. No one knows what he said but the people there that night. He also wears a medic alert bracelet.
VoicesCarry, Have you seen the pictures of the spider bite on Mike's leg from his doctor's site? That was proof enough for me that he has vitilligo. I will post the pictures in a few minutes for everybody. Y'all will just brush it off but it's worth a shot [This message was edited Sat Apr 17 19:39:17 2004 by WildStyle]

And that doesn't look like vitilligo to you? With this guy, I don't even know anymore. The man is a waxwork. I have no idea what he's done to himself, or what multiple genetic disorders he has apparently inherited while no one else in his lineage is affected. As someone else mentioned, if he had vitiligo, why didn't he actually try to maintain his natural skin tone instead of turning white? Because makeup comes in all tones.

That's an argument I have heard often. He actually did do that for a long period of time. But how can you expect him to cover his whole body with dark makeup only to have to wash it off the same night? He might as well just live with the fact that his pigmentation is gone rather then going on trying to fool himself and everybody else. You also have to look at what an effect this had on his mental state. First of all, he was already self conscious about his appearance. Then he starts getting bad acne. Then once his acne gos away, he starts to discover white blotches all over his body.

It's not even possible to become THAT white just with some kind of bleaching creme. He must have vitiligo to become so white. Ask doctors.
